Dhoni

Dhoni sir, you are the best. the best ever indian player. you are unparalleled in indian cricket in the winning attitude and passion you bring to the game. no indian player in the history of cricket has been able to achieve what you have achieved. you always give your best and encourage other players and extract the most out of them be he a senior or junior, a player in form or out of form.

there may be indian players with better record, better talent and better technique than you, but still you can do what these players cannot do. the no. of amazing innings you play and bring victory to india with so much awesome consistency even they have not been able to do as consisitently as you.

there are very few players of your type for whom team achivements are more important and take precendence over personal achievements or milestones. the impact you have brought on indian cricket, players and fans and even people from other walks of life is simply incredible. the way you selflessly lead the team and play is a lesson for new generation players (and even for older players)

you are always involved in the game yet are still detached from it. you dont blow your trumpet and after the win you simply melt in the crowd and allow your team members to enjoy and take the credit and praise.

you really are to the indian team what krishna was to the pandavas. whatever you say and do is gita...

You are the worst, the worst ever player. You are in the gambling attitude and passion (for fixing)u bring to the game. no player in the history
has been able to earn what u earned by fixing. u always give ur worst & discourage others and extracted the least out of them a senior or junior,
a player in form or out of form. there are players with worst record, talent& technique but still u can do worst than them. the nos. balatkar innings
u played n bring defeat to the country with so much awesome consistency. there r very few players of ur type for whom team achievements are
less important than self and endorsement, advrtsmnt. the impact u have brought on game, players, fans & even people is simply horrible. The way
u selfishly lead the team and play is a forgettable lesson for new and old generation players. u have always involved in the match fixing. U blow ur
trumpet and after the defeat u simply blame team members. U really are to the team what Shakuni was to the Kauravas. Whatever u say & do is a
satanic verses & horror story.

Hype
by Sunil Vaidya on Sep 05, 2011 01:05 PM  | Hide replies

People below are making unwanted hype of Dhoni teaching Dravid how to bat. I ask you all openly, what is wrong in teaching a co-player how to bat?
Have not Dravid and Sachin openly accepted the fact that Dhoni is the best captain they played for? There is nothing wrong in teaching others.

BAD FUTURE
by Vasant Ware on Sep 03, 2011 11:02 AM

I THINK DHONI SHOULD STOP GIVING BLOODY EXCUSES AND START PERFORMING HIMSELF TO PUT A FIRM EXAMPLE IN FRONT OF ALL YOUNGSTERS....
DHONI ENJOYED SUCCESS OF SENIORS (LIKE SACHIN, DRAVID,LAXMAN,ZAHEER AND HARBHAJAN) HARDWORK,
BUT
THIS IS FACT THAT THEY CAN'T GO FOREVER....
IF THESE SENIORS PUSH HARD STILL THEY CAN PLAY FOR 3-4 YRS. ONLY....
I DON'T KNOW IF ANYBODY NOTICED THIS BUT DHONI SPOILING CAREER OF PARTHIV PATEL AND DINESH KARTIK, BOTH ARE WK/BATSMEN....
JUST LOOK AT HOW PARTHIV PLAYED AGAINST WEST INDIES IN ONE-DAY AT OPENING AND STILL DIDN'T GET CHANCE IN TESTS COZ DHONI IS INSECURE OF HIS PLACE IN TEAM....

Do not offer lame excuses MSD! Naser Hussain is right in fact.
by K Ram on Sep 02, 2011 11:10 PM

We saw how well Parthiv attempted that catch, how good was our running between the wickets and how well (like a 60 or 70 year old) Ashwin moved around in the field... We're pretty sure that, fortune is not going to change overnight and it's going to be 5-0 or, 4-1 in favour of England. The captain is expected to perform, set an example to others and lead from the front. Stop your blame game and contribute towards the team's cause first. It's time, India too emulates Ausie's and English's formula of 'horses for courses' principle of team selection and fields three distinct teams for the tests, ODIs and TTIs. This will avert the fatigue / overwork on the players and injuries too by giving time to rest / heal. This will also guarantee talented younger lot much needed international exposure and avenue to exhibit their talent in a much bigger stage. In the present system only a select bunch of fortunate few hog all the limelight and bad every mode of earning.

Crap from the captain
by vicky on Sep 02, 2011 01:41 PM

Absolute crap from Dhoni on advising Dravid. Gully cricketer trying to teach a batting legend on how to bat. First of all learn how to hold the bat properly and score some runs for the team atleast by your gully cricket shots. And then you can think of advising the legends. Do your job properly and perform for the team rather than giving your junk advises to the legends on how to bat.

He was the main culprit. He could have given Raina the much needed support at the other end. Why this Rohith Sharma is in the team--God only knows!
