Useless dhoni in t-20
by ASHISH KUMAR on Oct 30, 2011 04:11 PM

dhoni can't hit from ball 1 & hence misfit for T-20 intnl.
even after playing 28 matches- dhoni has no fifty or match winning inning in t-20.
his strike rate is very low at 105.
any other player with this type of consistent failure could have been dropped- but who will dare to drop politicain dhoni

Mr. Sohail
That happens in Pakistan Cricket only. Entire World knows how many matches and players from Pakistan are fixed/bought. Better correct your side first before commenting on BCCI.

Sachin's bad luck strikes..
by Michael Angelo on Oct 30, 2011 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin has been selected in team for Test matches. Sachin's bad luck has again afflicted Team India. As long as Sachin was in Team India, we always underperfromed. Dhoni's good luck was able to carry team India to certain extent. But eventually Sachin's bad luck became more powerful than Dhoni's luck and the England debacle was the result. India will keep losing all matches as long as Sachin is in the team. Dhoni's good luck is no more able to overpower Sachin's bad luck. Drop Sachin for ever or find somebody who has more powerful good luck than Dhoni and place that guy as captain.

Bad Luck & Good Luck is not related to a person, but to a "GEOGRAPHY" as far as Indian Cricket is concerned; Moment they step out to play in alien foreign conditions they struggle and as soon as they return to their own backyard they perform

this is applicable to England team also. barring Australia no other team has been able to maintain the supremacy. And the West Indies in the early 1978 80's

A terrible pitch to play on ...
by Jacob Jose on Oct 30, 2011 08:31 AM

This pitch was prepared for the KKR team as per their specification and it's not worth playing international games. They should ban all cricket from Eden Gardens till they find a stretch playing.

Robin Uthappa
by vilastadoori on Oct 30, 2011 02:44 AM

When I saw Robin play in england 2007 where he won the game for us by hitting sixes under rahul dravid captaincy. He and Rohit sharma were the stars for the next generation when they helped india win the Tri series in Australia in 2008. They lost their way especially Robin...he lost it...if he had concentrated more on his game he would have been a star...a next generation Ricky Ponting for india.

Lesson to selectors
by Ramdas Nayak on Oct 30, 2011 12:08 AM  | Hide replies

Never ever expose Yusuf Pathan, Uthappa and Manoj Tiwary to any international side. They are fit to play in Ranji Trphy and Duleep trophy cricket. Their batting against friendly pace of England team shows how immature these cricketers are in spite of playing so many matches. We need players like Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina who at least shine one i8n three matches they play.

Instead of Uthappa - Vijay should have been selected to open.
In place of Tiwary, Rohit Sharma Shold have been selected.
Yusuf Pathan, no mistake in selection. he should play in indian conditions.

Dhoni is a very good captain. But sometimes, overconfident. he should give the new ball to Pravin kumar, to take initial wickets...!! it was surprised me, Pravin bowled only one over.. that too very late.
