dravid, ganguly and company

No one takes this into point..when sachin was captain, dravid, ganguly n laxman were young to international cricket..they were not performing the level they did in ganguly/dhoni era as they were inexperienced..wonder what would have been the result if sachin had dravid, ganguly and laxman at the peak..

Basically a very soft, rather shy, cultured gentleman,

The above qualities are not of a LEADER!! Had it not been Ganguly, Indian Cricket would have never performed well in last one decade.

A Classic Pleaser - Lele
by Sebastian Cherukanam on Oct 28, 2011 07:51 AM  | Hide replies

Here is another pleaser for Sachin. Leadership is an inborn quality and one can only polish to make it shining. Sachin lacks and Dhoni owns it. Lele, even this pleasing and doing sycophancy are inborn qualities which you and almost all Indians own. Unfortunate, what else to say?

Probably he will mention Wasim ,Donald and Mcgrath. In ODIs he crossed fifty just 3 times in 26 innings when he played against Donald! In 76 ODIs where he played against these 3 greatest fast bowlers of his era his Average is meager 31and only 2 Centuries which came in Indian Pitches only.In Tests when Wasim Played for Pakistan his average against Pakistan is 32,similarly when Donald plays for SA his average against SA is 32 and When Mcgrath plays for Aus his average against Aus is 34.77 .So he will definitely mention these 3fasties which troubled Sachin throughout his career.

sachin is true legand....
his love, passion and dedication for game didn't change at all even after 22yrs....
he is indeed soft and humble guy and thats why he didn't became good captain....
to be a good captain i think u must be aggressive, arrogant and politician (ex- ponting,dhoni,ganguly,afridi,strauss)....

Well said to be a captain, manager etc. you should have a critical mind & complex structure. As in software industry intellectual, passionate people become architecture & other category manager.

lele is writing a book- is his book a biography of sachin's captaincy era. what does this lele know about captaincy. he and kiran more another idiot who was on the BCCI board were instrumental in finishing of sachin's captaincy.

Its mean to call them parochial. Cricket was played in major cities then. So mostly players form those cities selected. It all staretd to change in late seventies ,early eighties Kapil came in 1979 i guess pak tour..Till then mlastly Mumbai, Karnataka or Delhi will share team ..couple of members from otehr places like one from tamilnadu one from badoda etc etc ...Cricket itslef spread at that time and quota syatem being implemented so we see players from all regions nowadays...

Since the time of Indias debut as a Test team the selection of teams were never fair.Eg.Lala Amarnath scored a century on his debut. But sent back home on disceplanry grounds by the captian who was a maharaja of some tiny state.Look how B.K.Kunderan was treated .He had to make way for FM Engineer of Bombay.Read about Kunderan in Ciricc or wekipedia. He was a stylish Sehwag
