It's not only your batsmen, the main reason

is your so called world's best spinner failed miserably in this series..Swann bowled in total 36 overs,191 runs,RPO 5.3 and only 2 wickets??? Also,Patel..29 overs,173 runs,RPO 5.96 and only 4 wickets...both failed to make an impression on spinning tracks.

This is all a big BS
by Voosan Raj on Oct 26, 2011 09:00 PM  | Hide replies

This doesn't make any sense. Normally 5-0 victory over any team would call for a great celebration and feel great sense of pride.

But this particular victory against England despite being thrashed horribly literally few weeks ago doesn't sound exciting at all. Its actually more confusing than exciting.

I think these one sided series white wash are really boring. I doubt, the visiting teams simply don't want to try specially NZ, Eng, perhaps due to lack of motivation or something else. They hardly ever send full strength team to the visiting countries.

It is a given that if you are playing out of your home country, there is a lot of adjustments need to be made and you need to put more effort than normal routine preparations.

If you are going to be paid the same amount of money whether you pay at home or elsewhere, I wonder where the motivation will come from. Just saying "we need to have a good overseas" record or "should be #1 in ICC chart" does not cut it.

End of the day, these players are making lot of sacrifies and take a lot on their bodies to keep playing. They simply cannot wake up every morning with the same amount of enthusiasm. The cricket boards need to take such things into consideration and make winning outside home more lucrative, set definite objectives/goals. Tie them up to certain monetary benefits etc rather than making it look like another mundane series

Finally he concedes
by kiran kumar on Oct 26, 2011 08:04 PM

He has been blaming fielding and conditions till now. What else can explain 6 half centuries in 5 matches while Indian batting was consistently were having runrate of about 6.

they have been shown the door by India. They were overexcited by their win in home series. But they cannot continue for a long period as they wer becoming more and more arrogant after reaching 1 ranking same like australia. But India shown them their place as they did against australia also. England will tumble in test ranking after playing agarinst australia in Ashes Series.
