Ban ODI on flat track to save cricket
by ASHISH KUMAR on Oct 24, 2011 04:16 PM  | Hide replies

ODI is most boring format of cricket now days
While test cricket require real skill/technique to face against best bowlers, T-20 require hitting skill from 1st ball & that also under pressure.
ODi doesn't require much skill as you get time to set in & also best bowler can bowl only 10 overs with 1 bouncer per over only. Also most of ODI matches played on flat track to make it batsman friendly.
Thats the reason even medicore like dhoni has good record in ODI (ofcourse no. of not out inning & manipulated batting position is another factor) but he has got pathetic record in Test & T-20 intnl.
His overall overseas record as batsman is even more pathetic with test avg of 27 & T-20 strike rate of 102.
He has never played a match winning inning overseas or scored century overseas in any format of game even after playing 7 years of intnl cricket,

Ban ODI so that medicore like dhoni gets exposed.

Check his overseas captaincy records.
he has lost more test & ODI than he won.
Not won a single sries in SA.
Aus, SLK. White washed by england. Even struggled in WI test series as a captain as well as batsman.
After fluke win 2007T-20 wcup, out in 1st round of 2008/2010 T-20 wcup & 2009 ICC ODI cup.
He was simply lucky to captain side at home- 8 series out of 11 played at home during those 3 yrs.
All captain behaves like tiger in home conditiin.
Dhoni overhyped captainct totally exposed overseas.
Mallick- I know ur category who likes manipulator like dhoni, SRK, laloo etc.
My category is sachin, anand, amir khan etc.

But then why does Sehwag has an excellent record in tests but fails miserably in ODI's? There should be some challenge thrown by ODI's

But u forgot to mention that most of his runs came on flat tracks of the subcontinent, except the last ODI series in England he has been a failure whenever India toured overseas,be it Australia,South Africa or Newzealand. So, basically he is a flat track bully. Please stop publishing his records on this flat tracks and project him as a great WK batsman.

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SLK 2009 17.5
In SA 2011, 35.8
In WI 2011- 19.5 (last series)
( score of 0,16,2, 5 & 74(only one good inning when WI was operating with bowlers like bishoo/chandrapaul & front line bowler rampaul/shammi etc was resting due to injury).
In Eng 2011- 29 (last series)

Also dhoni after playing 27 T-20 intl has not scored a single fifty, no match winning inning, no MOM & pathetic strike rate of 105 (one of the lowest for any batsman in T-20 at his batting position)
In ODI overseas also he is a big failure as batsman who never perform when require due to limited batting ability & has hardly won any important ODI outside india with his batting.
He is a flop wicketkeeper also in last 3 series where dropped many catches.

Dhoni is best
That’s why doing rest.
hehehe
