GIVE AARON THE NEW BALL
by CHITA on Oct 22, 2011 11:03 PM  | Hide replies

Aaron must be given the new ball before Vinay Kumar to see how much speed he can generate when he is fresh (i.e. not tired after 15 overs of fielding).

I personally feel he is a carbon copy of finn.

if you prepare pitches in INDIA similar to those in English or Australia or SA conditions then you will start loosing at home also. So, better make use of the home conditions and win as every country does.

why not instead prepare our players to get used to both spin friendly as well as bouncy wickets. we should have at least four bouncy wickets in south, north, west and east zones to get the players prepared for getting them familiar with such wickets.

That i agree, but dont schedule matches in these pitches except against sub continent teams. But definitely have preparations and domestic played on these in large numbers.

Every country has its own peculiarities; why not ask australians or south africans to make spinner-friendly wickets instead?

So winning in Australia is to be the gold standard of cricket?

Every country doctors its pitches, why should we be generous to the visitors and offer them greentops when they greet us with pitches like WACA?

and remember, the two fastest decks in the world have been conquered by Indians ( WACA and Durban)in recent years.
