past folly
by Pavas Agarwal on Oct 21, 2011 03:40 PM  | Hide replies

In past we have seen many undeserving players from mumbai got selected just for the reason that the headquarters of BCCI is situated there, one can take the name of numbers of players who didnt deserved the place at all,but with media coming strong and players started to get selected from hinterland have rightly contributed to the stopping of mediocre talent from mumbai getting a back door entry into indian team, players like amre, ravi shastri, sameer dighe, salil ankola, paras mhambrey, chandrakant pandit never deserved to represent indian squad.

u said many u hv to write few, we can also say this for other cities, states, also if you look ranji record then you will get the clear picture. Mumbai won more than 35 times. How u can say like that. Due to lack of knowledge u hv pass the above statement.

I dont have any thing against Mumbai but What is your beef against Venkatesh Prasad? He played in 161 ODI's and 33 Tests in an International carrier spanning 7 years. surely He was one of the better seamers we had when he was playing..

If your players from UP/Bihar are so great why don't you win 5 Ranjis never mind 35 odd?

Can't can you? - just talk big.

35 Ranji Titles speaks itself. Mumbai has always produced talented cricketers.
