Suarav Gangulay is a good sports man and above all patriotic Indian

DADA I would like you and Anil Kumble to accompany the boys to Australia

Dada you should tell all our boys ,,how to be mentally tough
ii)you should show your BRISBANE hundred last time India toured Australia

iii) INDIA should get atleast 2 extra pace bowlers (reserves) plus tow extra spinners as well as extra batsman- a total of 20 players on TOUR (Aussie tour is tough not only with onfield sledging and tough cricket but also MEDIA adding their bit of spice as well)

iv)INDIA should ask BBCI to buy the americans machine (Baseball coaching) which was purcahsed by Aussies and modified to suit Cricket
with India having ICT based tech ,,we can modify the machine to be used by our Batsman

I heard the machine can be configured to simulate real time pace bowling of most bowlers in the world

vi)Michael Slater says ,,it can be used indoors ,,that means due to rain ,,if nets practice is washed out ,,still that machine can be used indoors

so I request BCCI to make enquires with Michael Slater and purchase that machine for Indian Cricket team
=========
I hope DHONI meets with Sachin ,,Saurav and KUMBLE and chart out

i)indias bowling
ii)indias batting and coping with the pace and spin on Aussie decks
iii)Extra batsmen plus extra bowlers to cope with injuries

this time Aussies will be fully loaded up ,,and will come back at India very strong and Tough

so INDIA hasto be fit ,,

physically extra fit mentally

Dada ,,kumble ,,plus sachin and Dhoni have to guide youngsters how to cope with sledging as well
-------------
unless INDIA arrives with a solid 20 member team from the beigining is most advised

BCCI should not select just some 14 or so players ,,and as tour goes on keep calling others from India to arrive in Australia

RATHER BCCI should pick extra pace bowlers ..extra Batsmen and make sure we have atleast 20 players (11 regular team plus remaining 9 extra players)

BCCI also should arrabge tour matches and allow extra players to play in the matches so that extra players are fit and adjusted to the conditions as well

India will do fine if we can avoid injury
by Gurjot Singh on Oct 11, 2011 01:30 AM

Australia's best days are gone while for India -- "you ain't seen notin yet, best is yet to come". With a deep talent pool, we can only get better. VVS, Sachin always play at their best when facing Australia and this time it is going to be no exception. If Zaheer is fit and Sreesanth is given a chance, there is no way India can lose to Australia that is a mere shadow of its past.

Ganguly was not greedy
by silver mani on Oct 09, 2011 08:13 PM  | Hide replies

Saurav Ganguly was not money minded and greedy as most of the players because he came from a Very Wealthy and Influential Family. His only concern was upliftment of Indian Cricket.Traits like attitude and arrogance in ganguly was due to his richness thats why when he was Captain he didnot care for anyone like Selectors etc.I still remember Being a12th Man on Australian Tour in 1991-92 he rfused to carry drinks on the field. But there is no doubt that he induced the attacking spirit in Indian Cricket. On the Contrary most of the players like Dhoni came from middle class families and hence always on the look for money.

A correction : Ganguly never refused to carry drinks, it was a lie, and Kapil Dev , the Captain of the side then, has written categorically in Sportstar to rebutt the lie !!
This lie was used to sideline Ganguly at the start of his career, till he came back with a bang in the Englans tour!!

very true, for eg. dhoni led indian team to win the triseries odi tournament in aus without seniors after we lost the test series with seniors, later in srilanka he did not play tests due to too much cricket and came back to win the odi series where sachin and sehwag did not play while in the test series before that murali and mendis spun sl to vicotry against india with sachin being a massive failure.

2007 T20 WC was won in SA with dhoni playing stellar knocks against 2 strongest teams of the tmt. SA and Aus and helping india win the WC.

similarly he won in NZ, SL WI BD etc.

in SL we won asia cup again dhoni played important part as a captain and as a batsman...

dhoni has been a success everywhere at home and abroad...

just because we lost in england does not take away his achievements and make him a failure abroad. with nearly everybody getting injured on england tour and sometimes right while the match was going on like gambhir zaheer sachin what could anybody do? in the odi series that followed though we lost dhoni showed the stuff he is made up of as inspite of absence of sachin sehwag gambhir yuvraj zaheer etc. he fought on and even in pressure situations batted well (and that too on english soil, whhere many said he cant play) and was MOS....

too much dhoni bashing going on here by cricket illiterate fans who cant recognise and appreciate a hero...

Jiju, records speak for Dhoni's achievements both in India and abroad. While we shouldn't take much credit for domestic wins still the team had to play and we shouldn't forget Dhoni's murderous century against Pak in Pak in 2006.

The recent series loss in England was not Dhoni's failure. It is BCCI failure as the crickets governing body in this country. The money hungry BCCI has pushed too much of cricket in the calendars of the Indian players. IPL should be played with junior and retired players only, to keep the national cricketers fresh for upcoming seires. But the respective Franchisees would not accept their team without Dhoni, Sehwag, Zaheer, Sachin, Yuvraj etc.

BCCI chief Srinivasan himself is guilty for this. Not only the excess of cricket, the important positions of physio and physical trainers for Indian cricket team are no more given to the world's best professionals. Instead these jobs are given to BCCI management members' friends or relatives. How can this team perform? International cricket is not a joke.

This happens when you have incompetent and non-players as administrators.

My friend Indian, fine then.... If the players dont sit out for a break, they have to see their careers disintegrating before their eyes...... No franchisee/Srinivasan/Kris Srikant will help them. They have to help themselves. And my point is simple. If you say India won only because of Dhoni till now, accept that India lost because of him only :). Same applies to Sachin/Dravid fans also.
Afterall when it comes to their heroes, they are not ready to accept an iota of criticism..... When blaming other players, they are in full flow....! I am speaking in their language only so that they can understand:)

All geniuses, please look in to cricinfo about Dhoni's & his competitors in captaincy & then keeping barring his not out innings in India & abroad.
He is most over rated player & he is following Azhar in match fixing.

Ganguly is Jealous of Dhoni
by Murli Devi on Oct 09, 2011 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

Till Dhoni became the captain of Indian cricket team, Ganguly used to be called as the best captain India ever got. But as soon as Dhoni took the charge, India sat the toughest records at right places, with Dhoni emerging as a captain who won highest matches for India in percentage, won highest matches outside India, won series in Srilanka and Australia like hostile places, gave India T20 worldcup, Cricket world cup and 1st ranking in Test and Cricket.

However in last tour to England, India lost terribly, but people forgot to notice that India played there with completely injured and not regular team.
The man who has been proving his mettle for so many, was beaten at England, and this has given opportunity to all these jealous little heart opportunists like Ganguly to ridicule him. Is there any sense in saying that Dhoni's biggest test is at Australia, a country, where he went before too and won the series? Or how relevent is such concern over Dhoni the man who gave the best days to Indian cricket?? Mr Ganguly have shame and show a bit of gentlemanliness. You are considered great captain but noway closure to greatness of Dhoni as the captain. He is way ahead you even in this rough time.

Murli Devi, I am not at all envious of our team's success or Dhoni's success or anything. From world champions to scraping to win in West Indies and finally losing all matches in just a gap of 4 months is not the way to play cricket. If Dhoni is to be credited for the wins till date, please credit him for this drubbing also :)

We played in England, we lost 4-0. We played in SA and lost 3-2. What did Dhoni do? Nothing. because he could do nothing. We do not perform well in foreign pitches and we as usual failed again. What did Dhoni do to improve the team to play well abroad, nothing. Where is his foresight and captaincy?

In last 4 years we have played more matches at home (batsmen friendly tracks) than swing and pace. So it is not a surprise that we raised to #1 status.

It is high time the fans of Sachin and Dhoni understand that cricket is 99.5% team work and 0.5% one man show.

Cricket is a team game.Dhoni thought it is his captaincy.
His victories in overseas is not against SA,AUS or England but against Bangla,Srilanka,WI & NZ.
So no need to speak his no of victories as Captain.
Famed four & Zak helped him to win matches with contributions from others made him as an Excellent captain with some luck. The series are also against team below India.
When the famed four become 3 & the contribution from SRT,VVS dried he looks like a foolish captain in front of the World.
He never allows TN players to settle who can replace wall,VVS,SRT & he wants his f---k buddies who can't bat against moving/fast bowling.
Further Dhoni will always blame batsmen/bowlers for every loss & that ba---d never accept his failure as captain/keeper/batsman.
So time is taking its revenge for his sins.

Best result for India
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Oct 09, 2011 02:47 PM

A 4 - 0 whitewash would be the best result for Indian cricket. That would force the people to push the seniors out.
Aussies are reviving as the SL tour showed while the Indians would be tired come the tour down under.
