Man, have we ever said anything about RCB? Then, why are you making seen over here about our CSK? As per your statement, win or loss for CSK would put them in bad way. After all they play for only money, so better we get back to our and use the time for wise thing. I wonder after seeing the horrible UK tour, how people are watching these club matches (played for money not for country).

Dommsayers aside, it will be good if CSK loses and dhoni, raina get rest. For indian cricket i mean. CL is just a tourney they have won already and that too outside india. It is important for dhoni and raina to regain the passion by taking a break from what has become WORK.

ganguly wants Dhoni to take a break for Ozzie series
by D S on Oct 04, 2011 04:36 AM  | Hide replies

ganguly, let dhoni decide transition time for rest, whom to transition, his therapy/re-training and his return time.

also, ganguly shld stay off controversy that akram started on harbhajan.
let harbhajan work out the job at hand and do well in CL, his performance should speak for his return. NOT politics.

Let us see what Ganguly can do for Pune.

Dhoni is the most over rated player courtesy media & BCCI. He is also cunning ba-----d who always blame batsmen/bowler for defeat & never accepts his failure as captain/keeping/batting.
He just managed the wins in INDIA with the team developed by Ganguly. His abroad performance is below par than Dinesh Karthik. If you deduct his not out innings his average is very less.He don't want class players so that he want to dominate the team.
I am wondering why BCCI is keeping him after white wash by England.
Even Kapil,Srikkanth,Bedi has been sacked,Gavaskar never taken risk.
He can never be in aplaying eleven if he plays for other than India.
Those who want to refuse better refer Cricinfo. So what Ganguly told is 101% correct. It is high time BCCI see other person for Captain,Keeper who can bat like Haddin,Prior.

Indians are experts in jealousy and ridiculing only. If others succeed, we are jealous of them and do not have the grace to appreciate. If they fail (in fact we wait intensively and prayfully for their failure) we jump to ridicule them and get the feeling of having achieved something ourselves.

If we can get rid of these two traits from our system, thinking, society, the world will be a better place to live.

Earlier even his stupid and stubborn decisions turned to Gold and he was hailed as the Capt with the Midas touch. Now he just can't seem to do anything right, for India or for CSK. That's what happens when luck deserts you. CSK - RIP (Rest in peace).

So he won World cup because of LUCK. Wake up kid. His innings is world cup final is unforgettable. He was man of the series in the England tour despite our loss. So just don't pass comments. Have little common sense.

I agree with you Arun. Unfortunately, we tend to get carried away in victory as well as defeat. Tomorrow, if we win the series against England in India, once again the same Sanjay Gupta would hail the same Dhoni. We need to start accepting the realities of Sports and be balanced in our reactions.

It is only played in INDIA where ball never rises above knee.
The matches against PAK & Srilanka is fixed which is even accepted & hidden by the respective boards. So let us not live in fools paradise without knowing the truth.
India can never win with a contribution from Dhoni even if it is Dhoni's contribution which will be once in a blue moon or 10 years.
Then why the no 1 team lost so badly,in England in Both tests & one day.
We are tigers under Dhoni's Captaincy only in INDIA & against minnows.
Try to understand the game & reality.

Can they really make it?
by SR Hari on Oct 03, 2011 05:03 PM  | Hide replies

I am a Chennaite and a fan of CSK. The author is over optimistic if he feels CSK can still make it to the SF stage. So many things should happen for this to become reality. Let us be prepared mentally, that CSK will not be in the SF line up. We can't expect 3 other teams to perform/perish for our march into the SF.

@ xman

I said I am a Chennaite because, even as a fan of CSK, I feel it's more or less impossible for CSK to get into SF while the author still have hopes. My poser was to the author and not to prove anything else.

Chennai in trouble in the Champions League or otherwise? If you say in CL, they are not in trouble. They are almost out. If only I had been there at the MAC stadium, they might have won the match... :):) (superstitions don't leave us, you see!!)

Mr. Hari, Be positive, Do not give up hopes till the last moment. Nevertheless, Dhoni's captaincy against T&T was stupid. He (his team) should have started hitting out much earlier without waiting for the last couple of overs. He lost his head when Hussley got out early. Dhoni was unable to advise and guide his team to victory. Don't be surprised if the Indian team selectors replaces him with Harbhajan (as captain) for the Indian T20 team!!

The reliance money pushed the underperforming MI up. It is tough to induce the Ausies with money... tough luck CSK you are done and out - not only for this tournament, but for the years ahead.

It's nice that so many people have responded to my views on the author's optimism about CSK's progress to the SF stage. Most of them are consoling me and pepping me up that CSK can still make it. Now, I don't want to sound too pessimistic though the present weather condition in Chennai (at 10am) can throw surprises in the evening.

Coming to the performance of Dhoni, his captaincy et all, I agree / disagree with the views expressed here (of course I am not imposing on anybody, my views). I strongly disagree with Sakar Panch that CSK is done and out even in the future.

Regards and good day to all of you.
