He has been a third class player over the last many years. He has played many more matches than what he really deserves. He should have been sent back to domestic cricket much before. That would have helped him to find his lost skills. But at the moment he doesnt even deserve a place in India A squad
I would not pick the likes of Rahane for odos. He is fine for tests and first class cricket. Odos and tests are two different animals.
Same goes for bowlers.
The Aussie test series is a potential series for another disaster. It would be better to not focus on mickey mouse odo tournaments and keep the eyesight on the Aussie tests down under.

I have not seen him spinning the ball. He always wants assistance from the wicket. Wicket should assist spin and bounce. He will not spin. We have only 2 genuine spinners in India..Ojha and Mishra. Harbhajan is not a spinner....he is a slow bowler.

Yes your right only politics and money kept him in the eleven.Nice decision but late
The selection of players should be purely on merit and performance. Harbhajan has not performed well and selectors have responsibility to pick up the best players available for the team. It's up to Harbhajan to improve his wicket taking ability to get back in the team. He should take advice from seniors like Bedi, Prasanna, and Kumble and work on his bowling. If he fails to do so, we have seen the last of him.
At the same time, Sri-kkanth and Sri-nivasan needs to stop filling team spots with players like M Vijay, A Mukund, Vinay Kumar, S Aravind, Abhimanyu M, Aniruddha, etc. Amazing how some people get picked up early while others have to keep waiting for their turns.
Then there are others who stay on the team despite consistently performing poorly - Sehwag, RP Singh, Sri-saanth, Raina, .. and do you remember Agarkar?

Really? How many of the above list are in Indian team?!!! Of them how many are "early"? What data do we have to say "early"?
