RE: Negative reporting by Indian media
by Shrikar D on Oct 03, 2011 10:48 PM

All these comments by Shoaib & Shahid only help with the sales of that book Look at the facts: both these players are out-of-favor with the PCB. As such, their main source of income has pretty much dried up. Therefore, there is no harm in making a few of these ‘remarks if it would push a book sales a bit. The more everyone gets worked up about this so called controversy, the longer it will stay in the news cycle and consequently help with book sales. This is standard procedure – it has been done before and it will be done again. The only question that remains is: How much of the royalties from the book sales will now go to Shahid?

now that these players are retired, they finally got the courage to tell these lies. In their playing days, they knew, if they said such things, Sachin would have answered them with his bat ..

Insane comments from Pakis.
by Commentator on Oct 03, 2011 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

See, expressing an individual views are their right. But your views should be pratically acceptable. I am not here to argue if Sachin is the greatest player or not, but Akhtar or Afridi coming out to media and saying that Sachin was shiviring or feeling nervous to face their bowling is not insane and totally not acceptable. He has proven that he can bash any bowling at any time except few occassions which is natural with any player. Many a times Akhtar got treatment from Sachin. So these pakis need to be sent to mental asylum.

Except Wasim Akram, does your nation has or have produced any great Cricket legend? Are there any one who has a status in London's Madam Tussad Wax hall? Has any one being compared to the great legend don Bradman? Is there anyone in your nation to be in the hall of fame books in Lords stadium? Please answer this and then start criticising about other players.

So what How many world cups you have won? Just 2 ? Keep all your records with you? How many time you won the ICC championship. Record or fame doesnt need ? Winning is what you need? Just you forgot what happen to Indian team in England series in last month. Why Sachin cant even make india win in single match?

Any match is won by Team effort. Not by one player. He tried his best. Can't help it. So don't criticise him.

Then why you asking about the greats of Pakistan. As its a team effort where does the Individual records come to play. Sachin is no great than Ricky pointing. Check the all time greats by ICC.. Sachin is not even in the top 10..

These Pakistan Players are useless. No one can be compared with Sachin. If they think that by getting name and fame by criticising Sachin, let them be. Atleast, they need Sachin to become famous.

Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy was awarded by ICC to Sachin in 2010. And Wisden (bible for cricket) named him the 2nd greatest batsman after Don Bradman in tests and 2nd greatest ODI batsman after Viv Richards. Ricky was supported by his countrymen even during his failures. Sachin is criticized by some of his countrymen even during his success. Thats the difference Sakti

Point made here was about Individual great..Yes I do accept that No indian player supported Sachin while India is playing. That my point too. Sachin looks great in before of those old and inefficient players. But as of now see the young Indian and other crickets like rahane, Kholi, Raina ,cook, Watson.. Surly these guys will break the sachin all records. Im sure Cook will beak sachins all test record..

Today's cricketers are very much capable of breaking any record as long as they perform well and maintain consistency respect towards the game.

Tendulkar
by Prithviraj indian on Oct 03, 2011 12:57 PM

I still remember that match. I agree that Akthar was awesome in that game. After Dravid's dismissal, Tendulkar was bowled in the very first ball he faced, first time in his Currier. Of course Tendulkar was beaten by pace as he misjudged the new bowler. But it happens in cricket. That doesn't mean that Tendulkar was afraid of Akthar.
