SORRY

We have not proved in tough bowling conditions that we can be considered as a top ranking nation in cricket .No doubt we are lions in our conditions -all the more so with side more like a club side -WI .Forget about talent - they do not even have temparment of a test playing nation . It is OK when you have members of a team like 1970-80 where out of six you know for sure atleast two will strike - so go and bang . Our wothr will really tested in Australia and most of the batsmen are not capable of handling the Aussies attack barring the old horses. We are not even capable of handling good spinners . I am sure if we play Paksitan spin attack -we will be easily exposed.

Good indian cricket

Current indian team can play out Ausis. Days were gone where Indian batsmen out for 100 odd runs and ausis batsmen make around 450 to 550. Now we have reliable bowling attack and reliable battig attack as well. Even fielding improved for the last 5 years. So thumbs up.

cannot made 242 runs if better feilding and bowling performed.WHo is left Tingu, laxman, gambhir, sehwag, dhongi, ashwin, dravid but all are failiure to make 242 runs in 64 overs. So team india supporters wait and watch for white wash in australia. If binga, wattoo, bolling, commins bowled well then there is no worry for johnson exit.In yesterday match if we see 5 wickets fall in only 18 runs here gambhir, sehwag, raina are world class players. Now they three are worthless for team india.Give chance to new talent.Quit all players for 6 months.

Australia was one of the teams India beat to become the World Champions, so if India is "fixed" World Champions as you are saying, Australians took money to lose. Therefore all of them should be suspended and jailed. Agree ?

The following is taken from a report published in Daily Telegraph newspaper of Australia dated 6th May 2009. So it should be safe to guess that the pays of Australian cricketers have further increased in these 2.5 years.

RICKY Ponting and Michael Clarke are poised to receive new $1 million-plus contracts.

The Daily Telegraph has learned that captain Ponting and his deputy will land seven-figure base retainers in the new round of contracts being negotiated.

Their raw cricket earnings will almost double with payments of $12,750 per Test, $5100 for every one-day international and Twenty20 payments of $3825.

Also I searched "Michael Clarke commercial" in youtube to find a few endorsements done by him. I am sure he didn't do them for free.

Spin is the key
by Hot on Nov 30, 2011 03:26 PM

Though Australia has fast pitches, its own bastmen are quite used to play in such pitches. So the problem in such pitches will be to face the fast bowlers for the visiting team and not the home team. But india has a good spin pair and it should not break the winning combination.

Pace not spin would the key

Bowling on Indian soil and getting 5 wicket haul does not make a great bowler/ spinner. Would like to see Ashwin & co perform likewise after one year. Mendis with his carrom ball was a hit initially but later not that sucess ful. So lets not depend on spin but focus on pace. yes Zaheer presence if at all true ( not a gimmick by selectors) then it might be a great advantage. But surely this Australia serie would be an acid test for Dhoni as captain and Indian team

Yes, i agree. But now we have a two promising fast bowlers in yadav and aaron and if zaheer is fit, that should be a good bowling line up. But the problem would be the batting. We have an ageing batting line up and we have seen their performance in england. Hope they bat well.

yes the two r good and promising. batting wise i feel laxman, sachin, dravid and sehwag( not predictable)will deliver as they r experienced enough.

I completely disagree with you. Always one of your mentioned names do tons of runs in every season. Only Dhoni is failing a lot in Test format.

hehe - Srinivas, Perth has the fastest pitch on this planet...I hope you meant Sydney, where Allan Border with his innocuous spin, has spun out West Indies 2 decades back...
