i can see clearly this match was fixed.going by the odds,at one time the odds for draw was 5np to a rupee.it went up to rs9 for a rupee.all the punters were choked,to cut there positions they took on draw.

Ashwin and Aaron are bowlers. Did their best. There were batsmen who failed us. However, WI were not supposed to loose this match after their very play in the first innings. Be happy that we have not lost as we were very close to.
I enjoyed the match. Last over, all four possibilities: A win, a loss, a draw and a tie. Very hardly you see these four possibilities in one match of such high's and low's.

India had not lost yesterday. Missed the winning chance because of Sachin.
In the end, its ashwin who gave it away. The match should have been won comfortably. Ashwin thought he is one of the great strategist in the middle while the situation would have just called for a little bit of aggression. Even a high school kid would have won the match for India from where Ashwin was in the last over. You cant win if there is no spirit and passion to win. This is very similar to what Ravi Shastri did in one of the tied tests two decades ago, when he let Manindar singh face 4 deliveries after tying the test. Safety is fine but is foolish when winning is there for taking.. India missed a golden opportunity of a whitewash thanks to Ashwin..

you are wrong my friend first of all, ashwin insure that not to loose match as he did not charge the second last ball.
for days together the media focussed on the mahashatak of the maha batsman. True , he contributed his best toward that record only to fall short of the landmark. But the greater danger of avoiding the follow-on did not once cross his mind or the media's. Then our captain cool lost his wicket to add further to the danger. We need to thank Ashwin for preventing the followon or else the story would have been different. Then in the second innings after a reasonable start the greatest batsman was out for the lowest score by any Indian batsman. Further our captain handed his wicket when india was still in a dire strait. Thanks to Kohli and again Ashwin that we managed to save the game. I think it is time we realise that we cannot depend on one or two players to win the game for us . I am interested in assessing how many times of the hundreds of matches that Tendulkar has played and scored hundreds has india won. It is time the media stop singing the tune of the greatness of an individual without a real analysis. Further Dhoni has become an expert at finding fault with batsmen or bowlers. Never have I heard him say that as a leader he failed to contribute.

As a matter of fact India has never won a test match because tendulkar has scored a century...India has always won when Tendulkar did not play a major role in a test match.

Yes, I agree. We Indians are obessed to few people like Sachin, Anna Hazare or Kiran Bedi.
Sachin is a great player. So too was Anna Hazare a great man or Kiran Bedi is good person and crusaders against corruption. That doest mean that they are immortals. They are human and do make mistakes.
Media and common Indian goes gung-ho after these people and a small mistake by them, everyone is after them.
Understand it was a great game with such high's and low's. It would have been breaking hearts if WI were loose after fine display of batting in the first innings. This was one of these rare test matches where all four possibilities existing in the last over: a win, a loss, a draw and a tie. I enjoyed cricket fully.
Not that I am mixing cricket with politics, but just making a point.

Sachin should have done justice to his talent and fame by winning this test. He just missed another opportunity to prove himself. Let alone a 100, had he scored some 30 , 40 runs today India would have won the match. It is in such circumstances he has to prove himself..

You are absolutely right. Sachin should have seen India win this match. Neither Wicket was that hostile nor the bowling so great that our legendory batsman could not help India win. He should have applied himself and at least scored 40 runs. Prakash Wakankar
