Sachin misses the 100th ton.
by Shiv Ghosh on Nov 25, 2011 08:39 PM

When a rookie test player & a spinner Ashwin coming at no.8th scores a century & equals a 49 yrs record of a double (5 wkts & century)in a test match with A Mankad & P Umrigar,on a placid batting pitch its high time for some seniors including Sachin to bid goodbye to test cricket. Its a shame that Sachin could not get the 100th ton on such a patta wicket.

Its not ability but the whole lot of pressure brother which takes toll. Remmember he made all us wait to cross 34th century too. Dont be harsh.

Entire world either wants or dont want sachin to score. That sort of pressure was never there for anyone else.

also, after playing for so many years if he still cant handle the pressure, then he shd learn how to handle pressure from star footballers.. because in football pressure is 10 times more than cricket

Pressure in football is not higher. Its 10 guys running together or not, and the blame get spread out. Pressure is there only if they are scoring penalty shootouts. That happens once in ten years. Try to learn the difference between each sport. If it is so easy, why dont you go and play and reach a stage where you are waiting for ur 100th century. then we can compare two people who are facing the same kind of pressure

Full marks to windies. This is how the games are played. Hope Tendulkar will be able to get his hundredth ton next time.

He evaded 5 lakhs property tax to Mumbai Corporation.
He evaded 1.13 crore customs duty and imported Ferrari Car.
He evaded crores of income tax and hoarded that money in Puttaparthi Baba's Trust.
Without taking voluntary retirement this self-serving uncle denied opportunity to many young and talented BC/SC/ST/Minority cricket players.

Gambhir is a genuine opener and has got all the aggressive capabilities to open the innings with sehwag in ODIs but just because Tendulkar wants to open, he has to be moved down, such is the pressure that he puts on others.

I dont think he will play the next worldcup and in that scenario i was expecting him to retire gracefully after winning worldcup to give team another full 4 years to develop a youngster but it wasnt to be. Cant understand what he is waiting for. He himself has stated his body is not allowing to play more matches as he used to be.

You seem to talk with no sense. He is still a legend and will remain so. Till the time he thinks he is fit, he is and will go on.
