Whatever shot this guy plays, the ball ends up in the backward point area... Can't play the cut, can't play the pull or hook...just the slice towards backward point or third-man.
Badri is pretty much the same as he was then.

HE SHOULD PLAY FREELY ON BIG OCCASIONS
by damodaran mohan on Nov 24, 2011 04:43 PM

Yes, I too feel sorry for Badri. While technique-wise he is closest to Dravid but may be he didn't get enough opportunities due to crowded middle order with superstars. However the fact remains Badri has also not been able to grab whatever little opportunities which came along his way perhaps due to lack of suitable match temperament reqd for big occasions. His overcautious approach to cement a place in the national side perhaps have been his undoing. In the last WI series after getting man of the match award in the first match he blew away the subsequent chances.Given the level of competition one just can't afford to slip away such chances.Any way given his perfect techniques he should play freely w/o hang ups.Our best wishes.

Bhadri is good for IPL and Ranji
by Narayanan Mahalingam on Nov 24, 2011 01:44 PM

Bhadri was at sixes and sevens against the West Indies pacemen in the ODI leg in the carribean.
Bhadri may have a great record in domestic level, unfortunately he would not cut in the international level.
Bhadri is too good for Ranji and not so good for international level like his former state player V B Chandrasekhar

As long as sachin exists , tons of young budding cricketers will never get a chance in Team India. bajji, yuvaraj ,zaheer, sachin ,nehra is one gang. the second gang is dhoni , rp singh ,jadeja ,sehwag ,ishanth , in between this gang fight is common and India is losing test matches abroad . Cricket needs a revival in India. Enough. Mumbai tiffin wallahas have made a batting taylor made pitch for sachin , but Dravid ,VVS , Gambhir will score tons.

Dude there are many players who could be stars but due to politics lost in dirt such as Pankaj Dharmani,Badrinaath,Amit mishra(He batted much better than Sachin in England),probably Uthappa and many more.

If they are were so Good than Sachin, why dose that not show on their scorecard. Nobody scored runs for Sachin, it his amzing batting skill and talent that gets him runs. Bradman compared Sachin to himself and you guys comparing him to Ranji players. Grow up !

Dear Badri,

We all know you are highly talented and have enormous patience in the log format of the game. Also you have very good track record on the domestic circuit. But you didn’t get the opportunity due to our strong middle order giants and also media , commentators, analyst selectors thrust to give opportunities to Yivraj singh and Raina. Also there were a negative regionalism cry involved whenever a Tamil Nadu player gets opportunity. You did fairly well in 1st test against SA, but in the second innings we could see your confidence level was missing due to huge pressure and the professional pace attach by SA bowlers.

The best idea you have to do is to forget all these kinds of this domestic flat track games and get into the English county, SA League and Australian league and play maximum amount of games and get familiarized to face, bounce and seam condition. Playing here in India, in life less track is not going to help you for the selection at this age, also when Kholi, Pujara, Jedeja and Rahne are at right age and waiting to get their opportunities, but none of these are good in fast seeming pitches. So prove a point and take your cap. Also whenever you get a opportunity for 1 or two test, you should score a big hundred and put the selectors in complicated position.

Sri in Fast And Swing conditions even Sachin struggles,so u got a point if badri can have more exposure in England or SA or Aus he can be a big contender for any spot.
