"No pressure when I am told I'm the fastest in the country: Aaron"
varun Aaron, your speed is not fastest, you were around 140 and less
Ishant touched 142 many time. crossed the 146 km/hr mark.
But what matters is that Yadav was getting wicket and wrecking the top order in last test. Can you do it Varun Aaron?
------
87.6 Aaron to KA Edwards, no run, 138.3 kph, length ball outside off, driven to mid-off
87.5 Aaron to KA Edwards, no run, 140.2 kph, short of a length, well wide, left alone
87.4 Aaron to KA Edwards, FOUR, 135.7 kph, streaky runs. Edwards wants to defend this delivery over his stumps, but the ball moves in, takes a healthy inside edge, and beats Dhoni
87.3 Aaron to KA Edwards, no run, 137.4 kph, slight outswing on this one, but it starts outside off, and is left alone
87.2 Aaron to KA Edwards, no run, 136.9 kph, yorker, well outside off, digs it out
87.1 Aaron to KA Edwards, no run, 135.2 kph, short of a length, well outside off, left alone ----------- Ishant was getting to 143 to 142.8 more times.
2.2 Sharma to Brathwaite, no run, 143.1 kph, length ball, not too wide outside off, defended to mid-off
Sharma to Brathwaite, no run, 142.8 kph, length, around off, angling in, driven to mid-off
actually ishant crossed 146 km/hr, this means indian bowlers have to work harder to gain wickets and cross the speed that Finn reached and also took wickets.
39.5 Sharma to Barath, 1 run, 146.1 kph, full, middle and off, pushed wide of mid-of

Mr Khan you stop barking. He is making complete sense. Stop posting on rediff and go back to your work of cleaning public urinals.

mr sachin, have i insult you or you are from pak ,i do not want answer further to your comments the language you are using ,it speaks itself what you are.I always see Mr Akram comments so often while he not utter a single word when 3 players from pak were going to jail.Zaheer had injuries but his performances were very good in test matches and he was highest wicket taker in world cup.
Both Zaheer and Harbhajan have been resting or recovering from burnout, injuries and bowling fatigue which has resulted in dropping their levels.
Just like in the 1st Test, Yadav went wicket less in the first innings and now the line-n-length lobby was once again put pressure on Varun in his debut.
For the Australian tour, it seems like it will be between Praveen, Varun and Sreesanth since Yadav is already in for the list of 5 bowlers picked for Australia.
Varun's quickest was 91.6 mph, the fastest in the whole series so far. Maybe Roach's was about 91.7. But most likely, Varun can get it up as high as 93 mph on the Australian pitches.
So is it fair to leave out Praveen? Probably Sreesanth may have to take the hit. The problem is even though PK is a better choice, Sreesanth is better over the long term, since PK's pace will be dropping to 120 kph and his ability to take wickets may decline.
The bowling lineup for the tour of Australia then may be:

Bhajji will bounce back with sprain on his body. He is a coward and wants to play only in India. The current bowling unit with Zaheer is good for the team. Bhajji is a past tense.

Give Bhajji voluntary retirement. Bhajji and Bishen Bedi can sit and compare who has more lice under their pagdi.

its sports buddy; dont put your hate into this; I wake up 3 o clock to watch Australia vs Srilanka match in australia...
People watch football world cup where India is not playing; so be sporty to accept comments from those who are good in their business;
zaheer is undoubtedly the best indian bowler in current lot... he always make wicket taking situations irrespective of pitch conditions, flat or swinging... indian selectors and many followers are asking for retirement of seniors like harbhajan, zaheer, sachin ,laxman and (even dravid before england tour)... they totally forgot that india is on no.1 position for almost 2 yrs. because of these guys... giving youngsters chance is good move but they should groom around senior players... i think harbhajan should get chance on australian tour, coz though ashwin is taking wickets, he is too expensive and his batting is not good at all... ashwin is expensive against weak batting line up of inexperience west indians, it will be interesting to see how can he bowl against watson, clarck, hussy and ponting... ojha should also get chance coz he is most economical and wicket taker leg spinner, his batting is not good but he has potential to be next anil kumble...

Bhajji's Bowling record against the mighty Aussies is also not impressive. Moreover Bhajji's curent form is not deserve him a place in the Indian team. He couldnot able to take a wicket in the Ranji match he recently played for Punjab. Aswin is a good Off spinner with variations like carrom ball. Further Harbhjan always involved in a lot of contraversies in australian remember (Bhjji vs Symonds ) in the last tour.

Murali, you must be joking about Bhajji not being impressive against the Aussies. Thats one team against whom he has always done well and is at his competitve best against them. Ashwin is a good bowler but as the last 2 test matched have shown, needs to go a long way to reach Bhajji's class and experience. The Indian selectors were in a similar hurry to dump Ganguly 3 years back and forced him to retire. Look what has happenned.....3 years and plenty of test matched later, we yet dont have a settled No 6 batsman. So I am all for encouraging Ashwin...but as we are often fond of doing in India, lets not pull down Bhajji...he still is a class bowler.....recent Ranji matched notwithstanding. I an sure the Aussies will be happier to see Ashwin on the tour rather than Bhajji.

Dropping Ganguly turned out to be a success for India (India won WC, India became number 1 in test. Btw, there r lot of players still not getting a chance to play including Raina! we should drop bhajji permanently.

Foolish comment by Happy Friday.Ganguly was not playing ODIs anyway. And as for No 1 in Test cricket...it does not happen overnight and Ganguly was an integral part of the test team that eventually became no 1. Raina not getting a chance to play!!!!Just watch him hopping around the wicket looking all at sea in England a few months back and you will know what I am talking about.

What controversies are talking about man... don't u remember how those bloody, arrogant aussies use to sledge everybody... even gentleman player like sachin, kallis recieve bad mouthings from them... when harbhajan gave them taste of there own medicine, it is wrong right ???? and pls. go through his record against aussies before commenting... he is the only guy who got ricky ponting out on 1st ball of his spell on 5 occasions...

Agree with you absolutely. Zaheer has been the best Indian bowler for 2-3 seasons now. I am a big fan too. But let us not suffer again as we did in England, let him prove he can bowl 40-45 overs over a period of 4-5 days and let him do it in the next two Ranji matches, take a few wickets.
As for Harbhajan, his selection depoends on what Indian team needs from him, wickets on non-spinning pitches down under? or just to be economical. No doubt he has been concentrating on being economical for last 2-3 seasons now. Look at his latest Ranji matches stats too. We need wickets.

Just to add, Harbhajan has become more of a one day, T20 type bowler(well batsman too). But yes, in tests he definitely needs to change his style. Well jus to add, I am (was) a big fan of his test match bowling too.

With 73 Avg to dismiss a Batsman and taking 126 deliveries to dismiss a Batsman in Aussie land even H Singh knows he better not to tour Australia. A Batsman would be proud of his Avg and SR in Aussie land
