you are right, kambli was batting on 10 not out and kumble was on zero not out, definitely kambli would have won the match for india who were 120/8 needed another 132 runs in 14 overs and 5 balls

1996 semi was not fixed as wadekar said that it was team decision to field first only sidhu and wadekar was in favor of bat first but the final decision has taken to field first.... nothing fixed here only kambil is now in news for sensation....

Yes BCCI should probe the matter and facts should come to public and guilty should be punished. But if no body found guilty and facts reveals that match was not fixed, strict action should be initiate against Kambli, compensation and jail.

BCCI and all National & International cricketing stars are busy defending the tainted Mohammed Azaruddin who was one of the five cricketers named by the Central Bureau of Investigation in 2000 for being involved in throwing matches, and simultaneously ridiculing Vinod Kambli who has revealed that the 1996 world cup semifinal match was fixed. It should also be noted that 3 tainted players viz. Azhar, Mongia & Jadeja was in that 1996 team! The Sports ministry should approach the Court with a Public Interest Litigation for investigation in these allegations. The court should instruct the CBI to investigate, and all players of the 1996 squad should be subjected to lie-detector test so that truth comes out!

I am following this issue on star TV since Kambli opened his mouth.
I guess this is nothing but for cheap publicity and TRP. yesterday i was watching AAJ Tak , and ther all the ex-cricketers including, madan lal, yashpal, saurav ganguly, kapil sir and else, all them were making mokery of vinod kambli, it was saurav who was instigating to make this issue legally and teach a lesson to kambli, but star news twisted his statement and claiming that saurav asked for explantion from azhar. if you watch star news then they are trying make azhar culprit, on other hand aaktak trying to make mockery of vinod kambli sponsered by star news.
now this sports minister maken jumps into it, we all knows that relation between BCCI and Maken is not smooth because of new sports bill so it is time for him to catch BCCI in the pretext of Azhar. Navjot Sidhhu is a politician now , and from BJP , azhar is acongress MP, so ofcourse siddhu cannot bail him out, UP election is very near.
The ultimate looser of Cricket and Name India only. The Vonod Kambli is in win win situation. Big Boss next sesion is waiting for him. remember the same kabmbli once blamed sachin for his carrier.

I don't agree with this assessment. Everyone knows for a fact that Azhar and Jadeja were involved in match fixing in a lot of matches. And this really cannot happen without the knowledge of other players. Match fixing is very much prevalent in cricket but some take part in it other know about it but just keep their mouth shut becasue they are aware that the reputation of the game is at big stake... as if people will come to know about this highly prevalent thing then the value of the game will itself go down sharply and then everyone looses bcos sponsors will not come... are we saying that bob woolmer died for no reason... there is a big scale match fixing prevalent and that all goes on underground all the time... no properr investigation was again done for bob woolmer as no one wants the facts to come out, as once it does there is a hell lot of pandora box... you never know what all big names will come out in public and their names will be in dust forever... its a bigtime protect each other asses going on and every one understands it for a fact in cricket world...so it is time now that once and for all this should be properly investigated and facts should come out in public interest... as everyone is wasting their time in a sport which is just played by some 5-6 nations 4 out of which are in south asia backward/developing countries... and all other sports in India are suffering bcos of this sport... a sport which the entire world except these countries is not even aware of

Brother the ban was imposed by BCCI and its hearing pending in supreme court. dont forget what Azhar and Jadeja served to the country and for cricket. Binod Kambli why claiming after 15 year just because of sensation and nothing else. you can watch the media mela on Star Vs Aaj Tak... what a joke ,......
