Well, after closing the series up in Kolkata, the selectors finally pick Rohit Sharma over Yuvraj. We did know that Yuvraj was not a strong batting candidate in Tests but because of his strong showing in the WC he should have rested the bowlers with his 10-15 overs per innings.
Dhoni decided not to bowl him too much and rest the main bowlers. The follow-on was not a very good decision since the 4 main bowlers would get tired bowling 150 overs on the trot.
Luckyly, Yadav came to the rescue. Otherwise the WI came close to saving the Test match.
The #6 batting position should have been then wide open and Rohit Sharma seems like a top candidate, compared to Raina, Yuvraj, Badrinath. The selectors tend to reward ODI performance with Test spot. But that approach is incorrect since the formats are totally different in requirements.
Here are the domestic performances of the possible future middle order
Rohit Sharma: 66 innings at 63.51 Manoj Tiwari: 73 innings at 56.56 C. Pujura : 89 innings at 55.81
Though Pujara has played 89 innings Rohit Sharma's recent rise has been quite phenomenal and his superior talent and technique gives him the green light to take the #6 spot.

We won the series so we should try young team. 1. gambhir (he need more match to get his form) 2. sehvag 3. pujara (he was out due to injury so good to show faith) 4. sachin (give him chance for his record) 5. kohil 6. rohit 7. dhoni 8. yadav 9. aaron 10. ashwin 11. oza
I am not saying drop dravid/laxman but we all know they are going aus for playing test match so its good to give chance to bench people so if tomorrow someone (fix people) injured new comer will play with some confidence.
now sachin fans will accuse dhoni of imposing follow on as part of conspiracy to deny the greatest cricketer ever ( ?????) the chance to score a ton agaains a lowly placed side. SRT always scores against weak teams.
Let Zak / Nehra / Munaf / Praveen be not considered for selection for the tour down under if they're not 100% match fit and if they can not play all the matches. Of late, it has become Zak's habit to declare his fitness and availability for selection prior to any tour abroad and breakdown in the beginning itself. It's not a jolly trip or honeymoon nor he's making it on his dad's money. Players half fit or not match fit must be ignored however talented they're and whatever be their past records in Australia. In the case of one Mr. Harbhajan Singh, he's terribly off colour and is not even taking wickets in the Ranji matches in helping home conditions. He definitely is past his prime and he can only enter contention after proving his worth in the domestic matches. Rubbish and idiotic justifications like, " Form is temporary and class is permanent" by vested interests must clearly be ignored by the selection committee. It must be, Ojha, Ashwin and Amit Mishra / Piyush Chawla (if a leggie is required at all) for the spin department. Yuvi has had share of chances and it's not fair to keep someone as talented as Virat waiting. Virat must be considered ahead of Yuvi and Let Pujara and Badri play domestic cricket and prove their fitness before being considered.

mate , you are forgetting about Robin Uthapa - a very talented cricketer, better than even virat kohli.

if he is flat track champion, then he would have made three centuries in last three innings...
