Aron should be playing
by KALYAN MITRA on Nov 18, 2011 10:01 AM

I feel Aron should be playing in place of Ishant Sharma....Ishant's performance is too low at this moment..

Bowling attack for Australia
by Nikhil Shah on Nov 18, 2011 01:25 AM

With the success of Umesh Yadav, we may have to shift some of the line-and-length, dibly-dobly bowlers into the ODI squad. Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar and Munaf can join the ODI series.

India's bowling attack is going to be pace based rather than line-and-length, simple because in Test matches the bowling strikes rates are about 8-9 overs instead of 10-11 overs.

This is very crucial that the average increase in pace with reasonable accuracy is more helpful in winning in Test matches.

The economy rates of bowlers are higher in Indian conditions because of pace, but still they are reasonably accurate.

The Attack for Australia should be

Zaheer, Ishant, Sreesanth, Yadav and Aaron

When it comes to bowling in the nets the batting can get better practice from quicker bowlers.

Though Praveen bowls better than Sreesanth, Praveen cannot be a front-line bowler in Test matches for the top Test team in the world in the longer term where his average will keep increasing and his pace dropping down to 120kph

Funny is Harbhajan is finding hard to take a single wicket against orissa and ranji team. His bowling got hammered in local matches. I am sure he will be soon dropped from Ranji matches as well.

you son of a moron ,even ojha got hammered, check his avg in test and odi before commenting, and i saw the match he was very unlucky as he beat the bat and close lbws when wi had big partnership,
get a life you soursing.

giving economy of around 3 is hammering means what about others who went around 4.

Except the Harbhajan everything seems to be fine. There is no place for the arrogance (Harbhajan) in the professional Indian team.

I think Ashwin should be in 11. Raina can replace yuvraj. The backup batsmen should be Kholi. Rest looks fine.
