Punter Performacne
by Rick Shaw on Nov 12, 2011 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

This is where, you reaize the importance of team work. All these years, AUS were exceedingly well due to so many Match winners in addition to Punter (Hayden, Gilly, Steve Waugh, Warne & McGrath to name a few), so Punter never felt the pressure of failure as others would make up for his failure. Now, that other greats are gone, Punter's failure gets noticed. This is where SRT's performace over the years stand out, as India never had (or has) a strong team & SRT always had carry that extra burden.

Rise and fall of Ponter
by Manashis nayak on Nov 11, 2011 05:28 PM

his total score didnt cross 10 which is opposite to his average. He is the burden for Mr Clarke and Team.
This is same as the case of Pakistan team, when Afridi was captain Misbah wasnt performing,so that everyone blame the captaincy of Afridi
Time for Katich to replace Ponter

If PAK or India would have got so low total..It would have been called fixing.. But for AUS, England, SA it is acceptable..

Lets not go there - Have you lost your memory? Wasn't Cronje a South African? and isn't his punishment still one of the hishest ever? Weren't there some Indian and Pak and other including Aus) also involved with the scandal, but not one single one of them convicted (yep Hansie took the fall for them)? Is that acceptable because he was a South African?

RISE & FALL OF AUSTRALIA'S CRICKET GLORY
by Sisir Biswas on Nov 11, 2011 01:37 PM

I appreciate ponting's WARRIOR mentality. He has seen the gloriest time of australia's cricket for many years & now facing the humiliation of lowest scoring. I hope he will lead & inspire his team to comeback.

Imagine this being a match involving a Asian team... it would have gone on the record as match fixed ect but if this is other teams then many different views comes out...

and australia have collapsed like this... then they would have blamed cricket pitch, curetor, admin.etc instead of their own batsman

If this had happened in any of the Indian venues our own Indians would have been first to write nasty comments on the pitch...It happened in SA so thers no much comments..Pity we feel happy to downgrade ourself

And what about our useless Indian Media (especially electronic media)- they would have used all the expletives in the dictionary to criticise the team for such a performance

Australia Humiliated
by satish on Nov 11, 2011 12:55 PM

They are already humiliated ,the last lowest test total before this was 110 years back,if they want to save their face they must win otherwise it will be their lowest for next 100 years under their new captain Michael Clarke
