Punter Performance
by Rick Shaw on Nov 12, 2011 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

This is where, you reaize the importance of team work. All these years, AUS were exceedingly well due to so many Match winners in addition to Punter (Hayden, Gilly, Steve Waugh, Warne & McGrath to name a few), so Punter never felt the pressure of failure as others would make up for his failure. Now, that other greats are gone, Punter's failure gets noticed. This is where SRT's performace over the years stand out, as India never had (or has) a strong team & SRT always had to carry that extra burden.

Ponting did not fail frequently as you imagine. Now he is not what he was 2 yrs back.If you want to praise Tendulkar do it.

Dear

What ever stated in the above MSG is very clear. Punter had lot of match winners in his team and SRT is always a better performer than Punter.

Wonder how much money was riding on two international teams being bowled out for less 100 in about a day...

The misery of Australia!
by A Singh on Nov 11, 2011 04:40 PM  | Hide replies

Misery of the Australian team is best explained by Shane Watson, who is a utility player who can bat and bowl a bit, but he is opening the batting for Australia, and is also expected to take 5 wickets in every innings.
Their problems are similar to those of India: They cannot bat, cannot bowl and cannot field.

If Aussies would have not go for batting or they have given batting to SA again for second innings then the scene would have been different what say guys,.,.???

SA avoided follow-on, so no way Aus can ask SAto bat again, unless and untill they forfeit their second innings...

There was nothing in the pitch dumbo. It was the fragile mental state of aus players.

India is ranked higher the Australia in Test from last 2 years. Also Indi'a batting was always strong than Ausies, only bowling is weaker. Then why r u people rating India lower then Australia

Bcz they have this myth that playing fast bowling is somehow better than being able to play spin.

yeah. SA also collapsed pretty bad in that one innings. SO much of hype around these 2 teams. This is like their subcontinent match. But still such collapse.

Ashwin please shifts
by Basavaraja on Nov 11, 2011 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

I hereby requested to Ashwin to shifts his base to Bengaluru. We miss to see any headline in Time of India newpapers like "Bengaluru boy take 9 wicket" for long times.

We provide good whether in our Bengaluru and give long times to rest when driving.

If Srikantha not select all Bengaluru player like Robin Utappa, Manish Pundey, etc then we shifts Chennai player Ashwin to Bengaluru and make Bengaluru prouds.

Srikantha is angry me.

Test Cricket lovers beware...the more we promote t20, the more there will be liklihood of such low totals in test matches. Scrap T20 at the international level.
