Sachin - 99
by True Indy on Nov 09, 2011 03:30 PM

Sachin used to wear the number 99 on his jersey. He may be doomed with that number and never get his 100th ton.

Best would have been if he never have played in first place. what has india achieved out of his meaningless records? I have run 200000 Kms what does it mean in competetive sports? it simply means you have run uselessly and should rest now. in competetive sports you are competing with other people or other teams, what am I to feel if my country stand in last spot and I keep on brimming of playing splendid shots for no use.

Hoping him to retire soon, so we can hear about match rather than his milestone. if a guy plays for 20yrs he suppose to make milestones...

ofcourse no one is denying abt his performance. but how long. he denies single where others take single.he isn't sharp in field like b4. if u r game lover rather than NUMBER lover you might have different view..

Oh he is not a sharp fielder. That's why all skippers like him to field in boundary line during crucial stage.man he is far better than half of the younger genearation fielders.

He is far better than so called Munaf, Viru, Praveen, Jaheer, Yuvraj(yes yuvraj)..
And more over he is scoring for the team. Whoever score for the team he will stay, simple rule.

The so called greatest man Sir Bradman has himself praised Sachin that he is the closest thing to him but I dont understand why we Indians keep blasting him when he hits zero or a hundred.

Why is he playing for 20 yrs? Is he scoring duck after ducks and still playing for 20 yrs?
Is he not scoring runs? What is his average even now?
We are used to people commenting about things / persons without knowing what they talk!
This is one such example.
Or is it intolerance to some one else's achievement and fame?

you are talking about numbers again...avg, runs. if sachin is allowed to fail 73 innings (he scored century in his 74th innings) then why the different treatment to others

He is making runs and doing the job. He has the stamina and desire to play. Rather than being boorish, can't you just keep quiet--if you cannot appreciate. 74 innings = ~37 test matches: can you proved he failed consitently in such nos. (Hint: he did not)
