Pakistan should stop playing sports from now onwards. Attack on Srilanka bus, Match Fixing, Ball Eating, Woolmer's death all these episodes proving what kind of ppl they are

SRK was very happy when he heard that Salman & Aamir were awarded jail sentence by a London court. He later realized that they were Pakistani cricketers....

Amir blames PCB for lack of education
by Arun Sharma on Nov 04, 2011 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

Does this mean that unless educated by the cricket board, the Pakistani players are corrupt? Aamir Sohail is saying that they should have been tried by Pakistan cricket board under their code of conduct, suggesting that they could have escaped with lighter punishment in that case as has been happening so far.

Why the board?
by SR Hari on Nov 04, 2011 10:47 AM  | Hide replies

While the board can play a part in "educating" the players, why should one depend on the board or others to be "educated" on such wrong doings? Doesn't he have his own concience to decide on what to do, what not to do, how to lead a normal life....? It is the basic ethics that are to be inside anybody to lead a good life. Unfortunately, it is not so in the case of these people and certainly, the nation also needs to be blamed to an extent. I am sure there will be many criticizing these views of mine as i brought in the nation also into the discussion.

SR Hari

well said. How can you put the blame on someone for your own wrong doing. Goes a long way in telling us the moral fiber of the pporkistannis

While we aren't " dood ke dhule" , we atleast don't blame others for our wrongdoings.

sameer,,,,Gone are the days when school meant just learning the events given in a history chapter or solving tough mathematical problems or reciting poems .. values education can take place at home, as well as in schools.Morals as socio-legal-religious norms are supposed to help people behave responsibly.Values education can show which morals are "bad" morals and which are "good". The change in behaviour comes from wrestling with questions about right and wrong

No offense , but I have seen enough educated crooks and enough uneducated honest people.

BTW, we had moral science as a subject from the early 80's. That didn't impart Moral fiber in the students. In the end you make the choices. You don't need a school to make you a morally good person. If that were the case all our parents and grandparents would have been crooks , because in their time " the so called education, value" system you harp about wasn't there :)
