SACHIN IS ALSO HUMAN
by damodaran mohan on Nov 02, 2011 03:51 PM

Sachin is one of the greatest batsmen in the world.I don't think we are going to see another Sachin any time soon. But he is also human and age is bound to catch up with him.He certainly looks munder decline.Under the circumstances it is only proper that he draws his retirement plan and hands over the baton to youngsters.

Great Sachin is the run machine. Captan Dhoni is the crisis man in ODI as Dravid and Laxman are in Tests. Every team need both qualities to win. All 4 have great fitness levels as well.

sachin's double hundred in australia was painful to watch. Plus there r many contemporary batsmen who have scored more double hundreds than sachin.

But the stats don't show that. Pls go back, pls think of the Indian team we had. Did we have youngsters of this caliber where they dive around and save 20 odd runs, or did u have players like Sehwag who can change games in few overs.
Those days when sachin was out everyone just knew India would lose the match, even when there were 9 others o follow.
So much of impact he had. Opposition knew they were just 1 wicket away from victory and then the whole team would crumple under pressure.
Dhoni has players like Gambhir, Sachin, Yuvi, Sehwag, Zaheer, Raina, Virat and Dhoni himself, its a formidable side now.
What could have Sachin done alone with only suport from Saurav or Robin Singh.

by the way from your statements it is obvious that according to you only sachin is batsman in this country and others (especially dhoni) are not..

dhoni BTW has shown that he can bat on foreign soil as well as indian soil. you take great pains to prove with your posts that only sachin contributes anything (or rather everything) of note...that dhoni does nothing at all..it must have come as a n unpleasant shock to you that dhoni was MOS in england as well as india...people like you say that it sachin, sehwag, gambhir, yuvraj who play well and dhoni takes credits of their performance and without these players he is nothing....now dhoni played in eng and ind without sahcin, sehwag and yuvraj (and gambir was not there in eng odis too) but still dhoni was as reliable and consistent as ever and was MOS both times...you saw what MY favourite batsman can do in difficult conditions....:)

Sorry to see that YOUR favourite batsmen could not give additional threats of superlative performance either on indian soil or abroad. lately he is running away from playing ANYWHERE in the world...he is running away from everywhere mid series or not even going there for e.g WI, SA and Eng...this time he even did not dare to play on indian soil. his confidence is surely shot to bits...:)

by the way one good thing has come because of his absence. MI could finally win the CL20 trophy, BECAUSE their C(hief) E(xcuse) O(fficer) did not play either as a captain or as a batsman...see the difference he makes to his team's fortunes...when he PLAYS and when he does NOT play. see the difference in team's performance and results?...:)

wonder whether he will continue contributing to the team's cause by staying away from the playing XI like he did in CL20...:)

BTW i wonder where YOU were when the english teami got a 5-0 hiding in the odi series? i think you did not show your face even ONCE in the entire series...Perhaps you were as depressed as sachin and you two were licking each other's wounds over several rounds of drinks?...:)

Why should they give honours to Sports persons who become succesful due to a Team's performance ????

The soldiers who are cut off from families derive joy watching matches. Ask the soldiers if or not these sportsmen be given these awards....most of them will answer in affirmative. Soldiers know what it is to fight for the country. Sportsmen also do the same.

We criticize sportsmen as though we have right over them. Their life too is a sacrifice. Not everyone succeeds like Sachin or Sunny. Not easy to take field at the age of 39 for the country. try holding bat in a local game you will know what it is to play at international level.

sachin is being awarded many things due to the team's performances. he has been given so many things he did not deserve. he has been credited for single handed wins. many other titles.

he is even called GOD (!!) for god's sake!

He can buy palaces worth mega crores and get deals worth mega crores for the team's performance...

But Sachin atleast has Numbers, Statistics and records to prove his performances over a 20 year period of time - Dhoobbiii does'nt have those.

I would still say that No Cricketer or Even any of our Corrupt politicians, Businessmen do not deserve this title.

RSS you dont know how to read records. i have told umpteen times with examples that sachin records have mostly come in easy conditions or in no or less pressures situations. in pressure situations he has failed hopelessly.

whereas Dhoni in his short career so far has achieved more than sachin could in 20 plus years...

as i can see you have not analysed sachin scores in easy conditions and in difficult situations. dhoni mostly has performed in pressure situations. in easy situations mostly he has not got enough chances to score easy runs because the batsmen before him usually do it and by the dhoni comes to crease not much is left to be done...

most of the people in india dont understand or some ignore importance of good leadership .....
thats why india is lacking behind in most of the field.....
eg i am not a good player of cricket but still i was selected as the captain of the team ... i am a wicketkeeper too ... i led to the victory of the team in the university league..
also i started playing cricket 3 years ago.. before when i became the captain the team was loosing most of the matches... but after when i came same team is winning more than 90 % of match .....
so i would better advice u too develop some leadership quality..
