I agree after all the recent allegations on Pakistani players-- Afridi started from scratch and built a formidable unit. Agreed he is not the best bet with the bat but then as a captain he did perform well. In any case too many players have complained against Ijaz Butt in the past. So I believe he is justified in his comments.
I remember when i was in 12th class , a simple little boy came in to Pakistani team and made a unbeaten world record of fastest century in very start matches.
later he became the most dangerous batsman of ODI followed by Viru and jaysurya. And used to kill Indian bowlers like anything.
Now you are mature and maintaining a tough captaincy and reconstructed the complete pak team.

I suppose Waqar younis coaching NZ team, may be after he retires Afridi can take that position.
Forgot, Waqar younis was butchered by Jadeja in WC match at Bengaluru :) :)
It is better if the editorial staff of Rediff changes the format, the way they present the news. This piecemeal type of presenting news, requiring pressing "Next" at the every paragraphs is distasteful and breaks the rhythm of reading the news. It is laborious and disgust full at times.
