Knowing Sri Lankans history of match fixing this was a fixed match, no question. Sri Lanka batsmen can't be got out for 82 in just 24 overs on a batting friendly wicket, unless a lot of money was flashed before captain Dilshan who is well known for his contacts with bookies, especially in England where fixing matches is the norm. This is another way to save boring test matches. Even the ICC is involved in this boring match being fixed. Yes, it rained on 5th day but the way both teams batted for 4 days and the fact that England were not even bowled out in their first having lost only 5 wickets one can wonder when a team like Sri Lanka is bowled out in under one session on this kind of placid wicket. England were even a bowler short in Anderson. Besides England bowlers just like other countries, are not that lethal. Even if it was a bowler friendly wicket it is very difficult to get Sri Lanka out for 82 in 24 overs in a test match. Yes, it is possible but not on a wicket which helped only batsmen throught out, rain notwithstanding.
This is what IPL has done to Srilankan cricket. The players haven’t got much time to get accustomed to the English conditions. No much practice in English soil before the test. This IPL will ruin the cricket in all other countries. One can blame that no one has forced these players to accept the IPL offer but what matters is money. The ultimate sufferers are their cricket control board and the nation as a whole.

Those who contributed to the first innings score of 400 were prasanna jayawardene (century), parnavithana (half century) and samaraveera (half century). None of them have played in IPL.

Whoever say this is IPL effects are fools, see the first innings total, maybe srilankans were thinking rain will save them, then suddently found wanting... and also good bowling by england.

It is not good bowling, good betting. Cricket has become another WWF.
