Murali is not selected for ODI. He has been selected only for tests. He is a very good test player.

Absolutely. But stupid media will always cry foul over everything. All they are concerned about is business. They don't think twice before sensationalising a non-issue into an issue.

Debate?
by Your Persona on May 28, 2011 03:47 AM

I don't understand all the fuss. This is a sport, and cricketers are entertainers catering to the spectators.

People who criticize them for playing in the IPL and missing out on one series for the national team (that too so that they can play better in the next series for the country) should ask themselves why they chose their current profession over public service.

The big players wanted rest and wished to skip WI tour. The board expressed displeasure that it may send wrong signals. The players agreed to go on the tour. Yes they agreed till IPL was on.And when it was over, all backed out on various counts. The board was involved too.

Cricket is a big game.
There is big money in it.

Who cares for the good old game?
Who cares for the good old country?

They have found their fame and fortune too.

National duty?! LOL...

Why don't you join the Indian army as a jawan and protect our borders, instead of earning a livelihood for yourself?

U are right, no point blaming the players. They are doing what any professional would - secure their future. Its the board which has to be careful of too much cricket.
