Why making issue
by satish upganlawar on May 26, 2011 01:59 PM

Why media making issue about Gambhir. let him choose between country or club, he should also know that he is chosen because of he represented country. If he has hidden his injury he should be punished and he should not be dropped from 2 years. If wish to return back then he should prove himself in domestic cricket. BCCI should ask all contracted player about their desire and anyone wishes to come back must playdomestic cricket and prove. This should be applicable even to Sachin and Dhoni. For West Indies series either Virat Kholi or Raina be made captain. A Raydu, Abdulla, Dhaval Kulkarni, Yadav, be given chances Nehra should dumped permanenetly

i think parthiv should be replace by A. Rayudu if there is any replacement of Gambhir bcz. he is good with bat more than parthiv and one more he is also good at keeping also.

I feel he has done a good job. He also captained the side to 5-0 victory against the Kiwis . He is an agressive cricketer & is well aware of his responsibilities altogether.

In my opinion Yuvi should captain the side against wstindies because in my opinion if we continue to ignore yuvi he will demoralised & that would not be good for the Indian cricket. in absence of gambhir, Yuvi should lead the team & Raina shoul be his deputy

Yuvraj is an irresponsible cricketer therefore should not be given captaincy. He is too emotional on the filed as we could see when leading PW in IPL which shows his immaturity. His form is also unpredictable. What is wrong is making Virat Kohli as Captain? We have done it in the past in the case of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and South Africa appointed G Smith as Captain when he was 21 and had not played a test. Kohli is mature, cool, very good batsman and also has the experience of leading India under 19 team which won the World Cup.

@ramdas ..kohli is cool ? You must be kidding .. Kohli, gambhir and yuvraj are aggressive and at times very arrogant, raina is influenced by dhoni's personality so he can fit in easily

Yeah we have seen how badly India lost to Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka when they toured Zim with Raina as captain and a similar team.

Ridiculous.. Not Fair
by harish subramanian on May 26, 2011 09:41 AM  | Hide replies

These corporate idiots making these crickets play non stop cricket for their paisa vasool league. Now the cricketers are burning out and getting injured and dropping out of the upcoming series. Is it fair? Nobody can ask these questions? Who will ask questions to Ambani, Mallaya, Srinivasan and co. Bunch of money hungry idiots.

Who forced your cricketers to play in IPL? it was not mandatory to play in this tournament. If they chose to burn our for money let them. It is really shame to see players like Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly begging to play in IPL. Don't you think they are crazy for money? When it comes to represent India these seniors want 'rest' but for IPL these seniors try to show they are 100% fit. What happened to Sehwag is shame for India. In spite of injury he opted to play in IPL and paid heavy price.

Do not fret and fume.

If the cricketers want, they can be choosy.

They can decide whether they want to burn out themselves for the IPL dollars or want to represent the country and play tests, ODIs etc.

As for as you and I are concerned, we have nothing to lose. We don't buy tickets to watch the matches in stadia, don't struggle in the queues, do not spend money to buy eatables in the stadia, and we watch them from the comfort of our houses on TV, pass comments like the proverbial armchair pundits.

So, let us relax.

He had not justified the price KKR has paid to him. Due to his foolish captaincy and incapability of taking rite decisions at the rite time has cost KKR lost their chance to be inthe finals. Better our Indian Team should not count him in the squad.

I like the use of the spelling "rite" in your post instead of "right".

Isn't it right that the "rites" were performed by Gauti for KKR in IPL-4?
