"Warne was fined for breach of playing contract and warned of a harsher punishment in case he repeated such an offence."

He has already parting IPL. Where is the question of repeated offence? These guys are jokers.

In return to this Warne would make sure that RR gets a Royal Drubbing against MI in the last match and leave the entire Rajasthan with a sense of disgrace and shame that every Rajasthani would be wondering why they crossed swords with the ausie in the first place.

Warne is a player? Who is this other guy

Shane Warne is the greatest spinner in the world. Who is this Dixit?
All IPL players should rally for Warne.

Agreed that Dixit is notorious enough and does not deserve any support, but neither has Warne behaved like a good boy. Its best to leave the two to punch out each other. I do not have sympathies for either of them.

No one stopped you from hating Australian team. But to the best of my knowledge, making sensible logical comments was never considered to be lickingArrogantAussieCricketPlayer in any dictionary..
If you have come across a new one, we should give you the "inventor of the year" award... :)

I think franchise should pay it.

Outburst came because of his commitment towards the team and changing pitch at last moment due to pressure from Srinivasan was unfair. Otherwise why would he bother about the result when anyway he will be paid?

Warne asked for it when he boasted about building fortress in Jaipur - essentially implying that they had doctored the pitch to suit the RR. Naturally the higher up officials smelt rat and changed the pitch.

He should have silently done this like the way the CSK did without using his big mouth and got his objectives met. This is where Modi was a class act, who made a very weak underdog RR win the first edition.

Fine is usually based on percentage of earnings. So dont worry Warne has a huge surplus despite this fine... and not forget the good times he had with the shettys as a perquisite.

Put a ban on warne permanently
by Rohit Lohana on May 18, 2011 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Shane Warne should be permanently banned from IPL... All the foreigners not respecting Indians should be kicked out of our tournament... And especially these australians...

Rohit Lohania:

;-)... well said... Sanjay Dixit is an honourable Indian who had rightfully criticised the Australian Sachin Tendulkar for being a cry baby. And because he is an honourable Indian, he didn't even face any fines... :)

You are also right in saying that we need to convert IPL into a Ranji style tournament and ban all foreigners who want to come in and talk truthfully and talk logic... After all, that's totally unacceptable in India... :)

Sachin cried about RR pitch saying difficult to score - how much better was Wankade esp the previous match?

Gilchrist cried about Delhi pitch terming it resulted in a six hitting contest. How different was Dharamshala when he launched more sixers there? (the fact that RCB did not return the complement does not mean the Darmashala was a fair pitch).

All captains are cry babies.

And the real baby captain Kohli was impressive in defeat. He accepted their limitations and was brave in this regard. He thorougly impressed me as a true sportsman. Hope he grows more in his Cricketing life and leads india to glory in the years to come.

Sakar Panch:

I was only commenting about the fact that it is not apt to label anyone who criticises an Indian as being a foreigner. That's all...
You have your own views - and righteous ones at that - about Captains in general, and I have no intention of debating the same at this point in time.

But as you rightly pointed out Dixit had the right to talk about Sachin, the same yardstick should apply to Warne as well, instead of Rohit Lohana jumping in and turning the discussion into a Indian v/s Foreigner one and moreover asking for a Permanent ban on Warne, whereas Dixit hasn't even shelled out his $50,000 yet... ;-)

IPL governing body has taken right step to punish Warne and set example but how come Sanjay Dixit moving scot free when he himself was responsible for unwarranted comments on Sachin Tendulkar. Circle will be completed same punishment is handed over to Sanjay Dixit of RCA

:) Coz Sanjay Dixit is not Australian = he is not racist = he can be never wrong.
Only Aussies are always wrong, as every Rediff blogger here will testify to... ;-)

Yes I agree with you that Ausies are very good non-racial and very impartial.

Have you heard the australian commentators comment in IPL. They always praise the aussies. Chawala bowls impressively and takes wicket and the fella praises Gilchirst saying "Credit to Gilchrist for having used Chawla brilliantely"

Hodge gets thrashed and wided, the ausie commentator says "He has become angry but australians may become angry but never lose focus in the game like others".

Then in K11P vs RCB he said "Australians have played well"

Sakar Panch:

That's not racism. That's favouritism. Happens all the time with Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri's commentary as well... :)

But yes, your point is valid and well taken... In general though, cricket fans usually prefer foreign commentators (including Aussies) to their Indian counterparts, coz they are at least more interesting... ;-)

You should say - Well done Sanjay Dixit!

Aisa, kata,ki,Sachin, bhi, chup (after Sanjay Dixit abusing Sachin 100 times more than the few true sentences Warne spoke about Dixit)... And on the other hand Warne, bhi, chup.

Sanjay Dixit is the true hero... :)
