With Dhoni rested, the selectors included two wicketkeepers for the series, in Saha and Parthiv Patel...

Please read again, there are two wicket keepers in the squad..

If Srikant is a dirty fellow, plz go and wash him. Useless comment. He is the one who selected the World Cup winning team...just a reminder. You shd think from the selectors point of view, not your state point of view.

This is morally affronting of Yuraj, not make him Vic Captain. He is real hero of our Indian team?

Yuvraj is a raj material beyond captain not to say VC. He is beyond all these small things. Have you seen sachin the God like figure of the team? Similar figure will be Yuvraj also.

I felt that too... he should be Captain... not even Vice Captain... Gauti should be Vice Captain.

Srikanth

After his favorite puppet Murali Vijay flopped miserably, Srikanth have not pushed Badrinath to Indian team. Ambati Rayudu would have been anytime better choice than Wriddhiman Saha.

Looks like Chennai Super Kings team have become gateway to enter Team India.

You are missing that they can't raise their game on international level hence they are labelled as 'poor'.

Hagemaru, why dont you try playing for CSK? Even to get into the CSK team you need talent. If you have got it then go and play rather than barking here.

For getting into CSK team doesn't need talent. You just have to kiss butts of Srikanth & Dhoni. And you are in CSK team. More you suck balls of Srikanth & Dhoni, then you are selected for Indian team.

I ASK again :-)
by Sanjay Sanj on May 13, 2011 04:20 PM  | Hide replies

Why does it always have to be linked to poltics when your favourite players are not selected????????? Why???????????

End of the day we have a BIG and growing squad with lots of capable players... by maths or probability someone's favourite will always be left out?!

End result matters and we should triumph over the Windies... If we do excessively bad and get whipped, then question the selection... not in ADVANCE!

Good Selections
by srinivas on May 13, 2011 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

All the people who vent out anger hear are nothing but IPL bullies. they do not know anything about Ranji trophy or other domestics series

whereas the selectors have rightly preferred domestic performance through out the year over few good innings in IPL.

so now its clear that no one can be selected with just IPL performance , IPL can only supplement if you already have done well in ranjis. eg badri top scorer in Ranji and top 10 run getters in IPL as well.

this cleraly explains the selection of

Mishra over rahul sharma
saha over rayudu

Now the players will take ranji seriously which is good for India in long run

As expected, Sachin opts for rest in these kind of tough series against WI, England, Australia, etc and never misses series against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe or Kenya.. Way to go to achieve longevity and more and more records!!

You are an idiot. He himself took rest because of lot of cricket in past year. He is 39, what do you think ? Should play every match and exhaust himself in a year?

He doesn't need to justify anyone anything. His records speak for themselves...
