IPL is not fair and completely biased..Umpires have been fixed.
by kiran ddasdsadsa on May 04, 2011 01:55 PM

1. James hopes was caught during RCB match and he asked for umpire for review for No ball of bowler twice.. yesterday Dan christian was not out due to clear inside edge..why the hell did 3rd umpire didnt send him back..this is becoz KKR owner is sharuk or sharuk paid bribe to bloddy indian umpire(don't know his name) and 3rd umpire..if this could have been happened same to sachin definitively 3rd umpire would have sent sachin back.
2. Mr Sunil gavaskar is completely biased commentator.. Yesterday he used all the praising words for KKR and it was looking like he is not doing commentary but he is supporting KKR..he use to be disappointed when KKR wkt falls and cheer and shout deccan wkt and KKR boundries and sixes..same thing he did KKR Vs RCB..
This IPL has becoming boring from now a days to watch in TV due gavaskars and bhogles..

INTRODUCE UDRS IN IPL
by damodaran mohan on May 04, 2011 01:05 PM

It is really disappointing to see standard of umpiring deteriorating progressively in IPL4.The Indian and SL umpires seem to be handing down some of the worst decisions while umpires from Aus.,SA.,Pak ..etc. seem to be doing good job.It is time for introduction for UDRs in IPL.I wonder whether the Indians and SLs are getting intimidated by big names ?

Against Pseudos, cricket psuedo expert and Australia groupie,is believed to be in serious depression folllowing the traumatic experience of watching India diss Australia in the World Cup QF.His recovery chances were seriously hampered when CA kicked Punter out, and any remaining hopes were quashed by the trauma of India winning the World Cup.His job as an Australia groupie on Rediff is also being seriously reviewed, the grapevine says.

You might have been totally dejected after Australia won earlier world cups, but I assure you that I am happy that India won this one. :)

If you don't enjoy Cricket, then I seriously think your head must be doing the splits right now due to IPL, when you see Symonds and Harbhajan giving high-5's ... :)

pseudo:

you NEVER enjoy all good games and all good performances. if only your favourite team and player performs well you are happy and enjoy the game. if your favourite team or player does not perform well then you get unhappy and if any other team or any other player performs well you sadness knows no limits...:)

you dont EVER appreciate good performances of other players (apart from your favourites) and use your imagination in wildest possible way to cook up an excuse for the bad performance of your favourite player and team and the good performance of your un-favourite player or un-favourite team...

i have only seen good words and appreciation for only the australina team and ponting and sachin. i have NEVER seen good words and appreciation for team india and any indian player other than sachin. ...:)

you wanted dhoni to be non-playing captain but since he has taken up captaincy he has seen only success and his as well as indian team's stock is just soaring. you must have though this wc would be the last wc for dhoni but this wc has added one more laurel in dhoni's cap while other teams captains are quitting left right and centre.

it is not dhoni who you expected and hoped would be removed from captaincy but other captains like ponting, smith, vettor and sangakkara who have bitten the dust and are quitting as captain from some or all formats of cricket....

Fair enough. Don't follow IPL. :)

As for your overcoming your PAST dejections in 99,03 and 07, that was really good for you. That's the spirit you must try and maintain the next time even if we fail to win. That will encourage the sportsman spirit in you quite a bit as opposed to the "nationalism" you are flouting right now. :)

And try not to shoot off your mouth when somebody enjoys the game of cricket, and not toe your specific line...

As for your last sentence, please read what I had written when I said I am definitely happy that we won the World Cup. Probably you didn't catch what that means as the foam distracted you... ;-)

;-)..what do you mean ''unnecessarily''? Are you people not all of the same opinion? Dhoni is a very good captain, batsman and wicket keeper. he has done very well in all three depatments for so many years now, very consistently and very reliably. How you spoken even ONE word in his appreciation all these years?

As a captain he has taken india to new height and made then no. 1 in all formats at some point of time. just see at the no. of matches we won and the no. of matches we lose under him? any admiration, respect and appreciation from you? NO!!!

You wanted him to be a non-playing captain. but in his captaincy india has gone from strength to strength. he has won two wCs for us. while as a captain his position is as solid as ever, other captain of WC are quitting left, right and centre. captains like ponting, smith, sangakkara, vettori have stepped down from all or various formats. sachin himself has admitted that dhoni is the best captain he has played under. so has ganguly been admitting that dhoni is india's greatest captain. still you do not change your opinion and admit your mistake...:)

And you say i am dragging your name ''unnecessarily''? ...:)

Pseudo, you are as good or as bad as the other names i mentioned above...:)

Viaks banga- A paid agent of dhoni,
U shoul get slap after watching dhoni performance in IPL-4.
Also his 25 consecutive failures in ODI before final.
Now any tom, dick & harry if assured his position in team irrespective of any no. of failures will definetely click once in blue moon.
I always jugge any person over period of time & don't believe in one night stand.

There are many statements og big players who praised the captain role. I don't need to post them. The recent instance is Bollinger and S.Trivedi who gave credit to excellent captaincy.

captain desreve a credit if he himself is a consistent match winner with his performance like warne, kapil & Imran etc,
But no one deserve credit just becaue captain of winning team & own contribution is nil.
Dhoni contributtion with bat in test (where india is no.1),in 2007T-20 wcup (where India won) & 2011 wcup win (before final) was nil.
Hence his captaincy hype is just created by media & as a politician/manipulator he cashed it.
If captaincy win matches India could not been out in 1st round of 2008 & 2010 T-20 wcup loosing all matches under same captain.
He is simply lucky to play in team in name of captain of winning team otherwise he never desreve a place in any format based on merit.

captain definetely desrve credit if he himself is one of the biggest match winner of team e.g Warne,Kapil dev,Imran etc.
But if team is winning, captain is not performing as player for long time- then he doesn't desrve any credit.
Its my personnel view & pleased to see that even few of good cricketer thinking is alike.

UDRS...
by Anurag Rathore on May 04, 2011 10:50 AM  | Hide replies

UDRS needs some modifications.

1.Allow fixed number of reviews for each side. Any successful review should also count.
2.Allow snickometer and hawk eye for caught behind and LBW decisions.

No one gets "undue" advantage of UDRS.
If you are right, you are right. If you are wrong, then you fail to get the advantage.
It is exactly how the game works too. If a batsman makes a mistake he is out.
That doesn't mean that you HAVE to then give a perfectly well playing batsman from the other side unnecessarily out just to not give "additional advantage"?

Foe an example a team can get benefit of UDRS 6-7 times while the other team just once. It's not fair for me. It's not fair for umpires too who will have more pressure everytime a team gets successful review.

Which is exactly what I said.
Forget UDRS. In non-UDRS match, just because the first team loses 7 wickets, doesn't mean you have to give 7 batsmen of the second team out unnecessarily. Do you?
You'll naturally say that the first team lost 7 coz they made mistakes. The second team might make only 2 mistakes while batting, so why should their other 5 batsmen be given out for nothing?

Agree?
