yeah if it was so bad then why wasnt Vaas included in Team from begining....Vaas will play without practice......if Murli does not play then Lanka have no chance at all
Two changes. 1. Nehra is out so Ashwin. 2. Drop Kohli, include Yosuf Patan.
Kohlis last few games against lanka and his scores - scores - 0,71(chasing 213),10,37,2,28 and 9. Kohli's bating style doesn't suit lankas bowling style. So we can have a match winner instead of a good fielder in worldcup final.

kohli is a 1st down player. Sehwag and Gambhir are the openers for T20, Test and one day too. but due to tendulkar sehwag is kept at no.3 and kohli at 4. Kohli is excellent in openting and no.3. no need to bring yusuf and we want to play full 50 overs

Gambhir is injured so Yusuf Pathan should be given a chance...he is a big hitter and can send the ball out of the park..Ashwin or Nehra....is a tough choice for dhoni
The best team for the game against Sri Lanka is 1. Sewhag. 2. Tendulkar. 3. Virat Kolhi or Gambhir. 4. Raina. 5. Yuvraj Singh. 6. Yusuf Pathan. 7. Dhoni. 8. Ashwin. 9. Zaheer. 10. Harbhajhan. 11. Sreesanth.
• Munaf & Nehra did not bow exceptionally well yesterday as many people think. It was due to the Pitch conditions, Semi-Final pressure and most importantly the weak batting order of the Pakistan team that led to their downfall.
It’s great news that Nehra is already out of the world cup due to injury. Surely, Ashwin will replace him inspite of Dhoni’s antics.
• Gambhir should be replaced with Pathan, & Munaf should be replaced with Sreesanth. With this combination, we can comfortable beat Srilanka. With the same combination, India would have won against Pakistan with a margin of more than 50 runs.
• Since, Srilanka having a better batting lineup than Pakistan & also their batting order extends upto N0-7 in Mathews; it would be foolish if Dhoni plays with the same team that played against Pakistan. Let’s hope that Dhoni selects the best team.
If an injured Murali & Vaas plays instead of Randhiv & Mathews/Fernando, India can beat Sri Lanka comfortably

NEHRA WAS A REVELETION AGAIN YESTERDAY...HE DELIVERED WHEN IT MATTERED THE MOST....NOW EVEN FOR THAT IF YOU GIVE CREDIT TO OTHER TEAM THEN IT IS PLAIN CRAP ....SO YOU BETTER STOP BLABBERING

Mr. Renganathan seems to prefer host South India team for this WC final instead of India (N E W S). May the best XI be selected and India win the WC with their own good effort or other team bad effort :-)

Kohli's scores in the past few matches.. vs Netherlands: 12 (bowled)
vs South Africa: 1 (run out)
vs Windies : 59 (weak bowling w/o roach)
vs Australia: 24 (out to part time spinner at critical stage of match)
Vs Pak: 9 (out after wasting 20 balls at critical stage of match)

Praveen Kumar will be a good choice as he can bat a bit as well. We are not sure of his form though!
If, Munaf is injured and is replaced by Sreesanth, Yusuf replacing either Kolhi or Gambhir would seal Sri Lankans fate. If the Sri lankans select Vass instead of Dilharo Fernando (due to Mathews injury) & play (Injured) Muralitharan instead of spin sensation Suraj Randhiv (Indias Nemesis), India can even play with Joginder Sharma to easily win the Sri Lankan team.

pathan is not good against quality bowling he is a 20-20 player and should not be included in the team unless there is no other player to fill the spot, he is useless and will get out before reaching double digits.

I agree Raina should bat @ no 4..but leaving Kohli means we will miss a good fielder..I dont like his batting anyway..but he makes up for that with his fielding

if munaf plays srilanka will thrash him because he dont have any pace to deceive or fear opposition, nehra is a better choice since he can bowl yorkers in dearth.

Based on the resource we have, Munaf is best second fast bowler option who bowls wic to wic and no room to hit, and if batsman tries to fancy shot may have more possibility of getting out..Nehra can be dangerous on his days but can also be a big failure on off day..Munaf will always be average and hance less damage :-)

I think India should go with 3 fast bowlers and 1 main spinner and two support like Yuvi and Shewag or Raina..Can we trade Bhajji with Ashwin based on track record against Sri-Lankans..Bhajji has poor to average so chances of Aswin doing better is more..
