I agree with you, Afridi is a true fighter and inspired an insipid team with his total involvement in the game as cap

Still 4 MoM awards are going to count on Yuvi's side which is enough to earn him the player of the tournament award.
NDIA’S economy may be roaring, but how can its people, especially the poorest, benefit from the general gains? Perhaps Bihar, India’s most impoverished state, and one long blighted by caste politics, can show the way. On November 24th the results of state assembly elections in Bihar brought a resounding victory for a coalition led by the incumbent chief minister, Nitish Kumar, who had pledged to bring development to the poorest.
The voters liked what they saw, giving the coalition headed by Mr Kumar 206 of the 243 assembly seats. Mr Kumar’s charismatic predecessor, Lalu Prasad Yadav, had in effect run Bihar—which is home to over 80m people—as a personal fief for 15 years, talking up the social rights and interests of the “backward” castes, but delivering no material benefits. Mr Prasad (also known simply as Lalu) let crime and corruption flourish and oversaw dismal rates of economic growth. The only way for Biharis to make a living was as migrants in richer states. Many of those left behind were roughly as poor as African subsistence farmers. The government of the day failed even to spend the money it was handed by the central government in Delhi.
In elections five years ago Mr Kumar only narrowly edged out Lalu, but he has spent the intervening period bringing economic recovery to Bihar. He set out first to tackle crime, having some 50,000 people arrested and pushing through s

The awards are given according to the on-field performance. No one cares what a player does in his personal life. Remember Shane Warne is the most respected Australian even though he has countless sex-crimes.No-one cares what he is in personal life all they care is his on-field exploits. Same is the cae of Yuvraj
there was match fixing according to imaginations, even without that this Pakistan team is not a great side.... The best team for the game against Pakistan is 1. Sewhag. 2. Tendulkar. 3. Virat Kolhi. 4. Raina. 5. Yuvraj Singh. 6. Yusuf Pathan. 7. Dhoni. 8. Ashwin. 9. Zaheer. 10. Harbhajhan. 11. Sreesanth.
• Munaf & Nehra did not bow exceptionally well yesterday as many people think. It was due to the Pitch conditions, Semi-Final pressure and most importantly the weak batting order of the Pakistan team that led to their downfall.
• Gambhir should be replaced with Pathan, Nehra should be replaced with Ashwin & Munaf should be replaced with Sreesanth. With this combination, we can comfortable beat Srilanka. With the same combination, India would have won against Pakistan with a margin of more than 50 runs.
• Since, Srilanka having a better batting lineup than Pakistan & also their batting order extends upto N0-7 in Mathews; it would be foolish if Dhoni plays with the same team that played against Pakistan. Let’s hope that Dhoni selects the best team.
If an injured Murali & Vaas plays instead of Randhiv & Mathews/Fernando, India can beat Sri Lanka comfortably. Any other team composition will make the match tough.

dude, Gambhir is supposedly the best spin-playing batsmen in Indian team.
But, wierdly, he has gotten out more times to spinners in this tourney than ever before.

Dude, the team is more or less set.. Munaf with his slow leg cutters could work wonders against batsmen who dont have good temper. If he can master a leg cutter from a rising delivery, he can easily take out Dangerous Dilshan.
Wankhede is also a slow turning track, but hopefully they flatten it out so that Murali and Mendis cant get much turn out of it.

@ wasim khan : may be u think canada should have won the WC..........correct
Afridi was no where in the fight for MVP. Yuvraj allround performance is way ahead of him. Infact Yuvi's main battle is with Sachin who's consistent and responsible batting paved the way for final. Without Sachin it wouldn't be possible for Indian team to reach final !

Undoubtedly Afridi is MVP. Only because of him Pak has entered into Semi-final. All other players have individual achievements only...
