Yuvi, Zaheer and Ashwin are actually bowling quite well...

Munaf and Bhajji are a worry though... Raina? Can't say.. He might well be the surprise weapon as he hasn't been tried too much till now...

Yes, AP, we have a better bowling unit than what we had against south africa. I feel Ashwin might be a surprise weapon as the pak players have not played against him. Opening with zaheer and ashwin could slow things down things right from the start and put pressure on Pak.

Agreed mona. But pak is too inexperienced and have not faced aggressive batting till now. Sehwag, sachin and co would be too hot to handle for pak!

Shame on Indian MEdia thriving on sensationalism! Rediff included
by george pinto on Mar 30, 2011 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

When People in Japan are struggling to bring their life back to semblance, India and Pakistan are on festivities over a trivial nonsense cricket match! It will be played between the two country's some of the corrupt match fixers! The match will be played, crores of crores of Indian rupees will be laundered and at the end of the day, a square meal is snatched away from the poorest of the homes on gambling! No country plays up matches like thios. Even the two Koreas which are the worst enemy countries in the world, despite that they don't play up their football matches this way! Where is soccer and whrer is cricket? Cricket being a dumb game is played by just 8 countries world wide, and a billion idle and lazy people get glued to it like British slaves! Soccer on the other hand represents the world and media and common people dont hype the matches whether between two Koreas or Japan and China! Shame on Indian MEdia thriving on sensationalism! Rediff included!

WOw! How nice! 150 odd people majority of whom were Corporate thugs died, the world had to shut down. Now nearly half a million have died world should rejoice! Nice logic! Besides, when tsunami struck India, help poured forthwith in billions from these countries. Sadly our country has not responded to that so far in the same haste!

Giving billions, and stopping the whole nation are two separate things... as you can readily agree...

Considering that India has a lot of Indians to help first before showing their Daangiri outside should also be kept in mind...

Mr. Pinto, I agree with you in toto. The result of the match has been already decided by the bookies. The bookies can never go wrong as have lot of money at stake. Atleast our government show a small gesture and donate the entire world cup profit to Japan for resettlement of disturbed families.

I am amused at your lack of knowledge. Cricket is run by the ICC which is a private body, so how can the indian govt donate the profits for japan?

Boss, don't go by what happened last time. We now have ashwin, zaheer and yuvi who are bowling well. So it is a better biowling unit than what we had against south africa. Hopefully nehra and sree won't find a place in the side.

honestly it could be anyone's match. We all want India to win, but looking to our past performance things won't be easy for India esp. we have one of the weakest bowling.and fielding..so God help India..and above all Mohali also did not favour India..

Indian muslims
by Red Devil on Mar 30, 2011 10:48 AM  | Hide replies

Today India is playing Pakistan in cricket, so they cheer for Pakistan and we say its okay because its only a game. Tomorrow Pakistan and India will have a war and these people will support Pakistan, what will we say ? Its okay because they are poor people, they are so oppressed and discriminated against because of hindu nationalism ? Meaning of Indian secularism is always finding excuses for muslim treachery.

boss,
get ur facts correct. Indian muslims (most of them, leave a few ) are always praying fr indian win. Zaheer khan has been the main architech of India wins and will be today as well. so do not something just fr the sake of it. and by the way I am hindu and respect all religions.

Cricket is not worth it.
by bihari babu on Mar 30, 2011 10:45 AM

A lot depend on luck. few swing balls here and there, few bad angles of bat here and there and you loos it. Cricket is stuoid game. its not worth wasting so much on it. thats why western or china never play cricket.
They show their muscle in olumpic. Olumpic is measure of real muscle. stronger, faster wins. no trick.. Thats why china is so strong, they show their muscle power in game and economy.
This match could go anyway. why agitate your mind and become slave to it.
so many important thing in india needs our attention and energy.
