Tony Greig is undoubtedly the best. Gavaskar has been good for discussing technical aspects. Tony cozier is another favourite of mine. But I enjoyed Geoff Boycott most during 1999 World Cup.
Narottam Puri - of all people. His accent and voice is so tuned to the vagaries of the game. He has been a permanant feature of the ball by ball AIR commentary during late 70s and early 80s. Quite unbiased and relatively candid he is one of those soft spoken and refined voices in the commentary box. I can still remember his rendering of 1979 England / Pakistan tour, 1980 Australia tours. With more cricket players getting into the party, poor Narottam has to do other things. Its good to see him back this WC 2011 (DD version).
