Shahid afridi is only mediocre spinner and ravelled against minnows, could not get any wicket against India and was complete failure as batsman i entire tourney whereas he played for batsman. He is good fielder no doubt, and on top of all sporting loser at the end.His behaviour on field wqs topclass as good as Dhoney

Srilanka were in weaker group and did not win any top team. Australia which match was washed out. They lost against Pakistan, the only other strong team.Statics are prepared to fool people and do not mean much.India have become battle hardened and should win

USLESS PRACTICE

Your method of calculation is flawed...Yuvraj is worst fielder than Tilakratne and Afridi...dont you feel ashamed to say this...Add a column of quality of opponent...Give index to each team and multiply whatever you get by normal calculation...thus by making for inconsistency...say that index is 1 for Australia(being still no 1 team)...India as 0.98..Shrilanka as 0.96...South Africa as 0.94,.Pakistan as0.88 Newzeeland as 0.84...west indies as 0.65...Bangladesh as0.55...and at last Kenya at 0.15 or so ...then calculate who was brilliant and who was Weaker...You suggest that even Zahir Khan is better fielder than Yuvraj....Big Shame...You Brainless staticians...add Sharpness...!

Exactly. You can't value runs/wickets scrored against weaker opposition and in group stages with that scored against tough teams and in important knockout matches. Fileding point can not be calculated from ctaches taken alone without considering catches dropped and runs saved / given away. This is obviously an over simplictic and flawed way of calculation. Learn from castrol ranking for football.

Why do not you consider the averages of batsmans and bowlers?

Why Dhoni should be critizised
by VENKATESAN GURUSWAMY on Mar 29, 2011 09:32 AM  | Hide replies

In this world cup, except sangakkara,no captain has performed with the bat.Perhaps Afridi would have played a crucial role with the ball but he was a failure with the bat.dhoni in spite of tremendous captaincy and excellent behind the wickets,he is often critisized for his failure with the bat.Vettori,Smith,(what was he doing in this world cup,i dont know),Strauss,(except century against India),Saamy,Ponting (utter failure except a ton against India),not fired yet but Dhoni was excellent in leading his team to victory and he is definitely going to play a crucial role in the Semi final and final matches and win the cup for India.Dhoni is far far better than other captains (apart from Sangakkara)

idiots expect dhoni to score 50s and 100s like batsmen who come at opening position or 1 down. let these batsmen come at dhoni's position and see how much they can score. dhoni has shown often what he is capable of when he plays up in the order. there he was better record than even specialist batsmen of that position.

Afridi got 45 points. took wickets of useless kenyans, canadians and zimbabweans.Hardly got any runs. dilshan also got centuries only aginst weaker sides. Sachin who played match winning opening against aussis got 5. creep
