As a feverish Indian world cup cricket fan in Europe, I have the facilities of currently following the build-up to this legendary world cup semi-final contest in both the
Pakistani and Indian Electronic Media.
I must say I am truly aghast and disgusted at the quality of content and level of reporting that I am seeing from the India media.
A country like India aspiring to be a world power practicing this level of biased-emotional and irrational reporting of a much-loved cricket event deserves to not only loose
this all-important global contest against its minor neighbour but also eat a humble-pie in front of the media members and fans of its much backward neighbour.
I have not seen a single report, programme, reporter or cricket personality present a positive, rational analysis in build-up to this huge match. Idiots like Ravi Shastri, Kapil
dev, Arun Lal, Ajay Jadeja, Prabhakar and plenty of others coupled with the misinformed and illetrate(in cricket) TV anchors deserve a huge slap in the face for appearing on TV
and presenting their emotionally-charged and immature thought process as the picture of Indian sports(Cricket) culture to the world at the global stage before this all important
contest. I rather prefer someone like Gavaskar or Amarnath for keeping their mouth mostly shut or Bedi for criticising the Indian team rather than boasting on the weaknesses of
the Pakistani team. Or if only we had someone half as good as Imran Khan to comme

Or if only we had someone half as good as Imran Khan to comment on this great match from an Indian perspective.
The media has driven each word said by a Paki player out of context and lent a patriotic, superior-egoistic Indian tone to each happening or word spoken in context of this great
match.
Face-to-face discussions between former players like Shastri and Sohail have been made to take ugly turns and presented as immature street discussions on national networks with
Shastri wearing his Indian heart on his sleeve being all patriotic rather than remain a great sportsperson. I hope Shastri gets an egg on his face. He is knowledgable about
cricket but making a fool of himself by being unnecessarily patriotic and overemotional about a cricket match. Shastri did a good job against Austalia and South Africa but when
it comes to Pakistan why do these former cricketers loose their logic and start behaving like street urchins. No wonder Shastri ended up on loosing side against Pakistan during
his playing days.
Now, the media will be made to eat their words by the Pakistani team who eventually shut themselves off from this negative Indian media and decided to stick together as a group
spending their time practicing or bonding. The greatest evidence of this is the specific fielding practice under lights peformed by the paki team after offering their combined
prayers together on the ground. Apart from getting used to fielding under Mohali l

Apart from getting used to fielding under Mohali lights and night sky this will give the Paki team a most accurate idea of when and how much due
is likely to fall.
Misinformed TV anchors will probably even make fun of this(and themselves) in their most stupid way, but this is of prime importance to know when and how much due is likely to
fall. Batting second or bowling second, either ways, the due could be a major game changer. Most of you may not know this, but Pakistan chased down India's huge 321 in 2007 in
Mohali due to the due factor after trailing badly halfway through the innings. This is because due started falling halfway through the innings and none of the Indian bowlers who
up till that point had bowled superbly could grip the ball anymore and Afridi and company went on a rampage against hapless bowling thereafter.

Knowing this and planning for this is simply part of damn good preparation ahead of a really important contest. I hope Indian team is doing their homework correctly but atleast
the Pakistani team is. Indian media has left Paki team no choice, rather than sit in hotel watching negative Indian TV channels, they prefer to stay together and spend time on
the ground.
And the same negative Indian media will turn on its own players once India looses in a close contest, all the Pak negative publicity will simply be replaced by India negative.
If thats how media in India survies, I am not proud Indian to be a winner in this great match. I would rather that India looses so we stop having so much negative Indian media

Who am I? A cricket lover and lover of the Indian cricket team. I badly want to see India win the world cup but I fear Media which is the voice of people, has still not got their attitude right. If media hasnt, people havent. And another loss at this huge stage will mean another 4 years of prep and wait
does it mean that print media vl b there with all permission. whats the breach that electronic media has d one is also not stated. may b there is too much of fixing going on. so to avoid media snicking it, like in eng, spot fixing, these media r barred.
