sachin is responsible for state of our bowlers..
by Dhantannan on Mar 29, 2011 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

every kid in india wants to become sachin and not a bowler.
hence for last 10-15 no quality bowler has been produced.
the desire to excel is always by emulating.
now our bowling is likely to be exposed again in semis.

how can a day come when we r sure that we will win
by Varun katyal on Mar 29, 2011 12:16 PM

If players work hard for improving cricket & increase fitness (our coach & his son r more fit than a few indian players) & show less interest in selling under wears, horlicks, oils, airceletc & LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST PEPSI!!!!!!

NZ will win
by VISHAL RANA on Mar 29, 2011 12:03 PM

Today Newzeland will defeat Sri Lnka in their Backyard.

Watch-out Ross Talor he can single handedly destroy any attack

If he will make 80 odd runs then NZ has a chance to play in Great Finale at Mubai

That’s is sure

this is the strategy
by Vasco Disco on Mar 29, 2011 11:45 AM  | Hide replies

this is the strategy of coward teams like IND and SRI....to make visitors play on 3rd class pitches...and and boast that we have world class spinners blah blah blah.... they dont have guts to play match on a proper pitch which gives a constant bounce for 100 overs....

every team create pitch like they want. If we (india or srilanka) go there to play match we will face same problem. I think you forget that when india went newzeland our batsman didnot play all 50 overs. they stumpout early. So i think we have rights from our point. New zeland should not bother about pitch if they want to win.

3 M's key for NZ-SL Semi-final
by ccfan227@rediffmail.com on Mar 29, 2011 08:20 AM

3 M's Malinga,Murali,Mendis are the keys to SL-NZ clash. If NZ handles them, then it will be 50-50. otherwise SL will make the final

DO NOT WORRY
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Mar 29, 2011 07:59 AM

This is home team advantage .You win the toss and bat first put a decent score .You have excellent pace attack and very decent spin - which is headed by you and with Nathan .You can make SL to run for the money .Yet at the otset they are favourites.

hype...
by s mumbai on Mar 29, 2011 07:45 AM  | Hide replies

hype is more created by media rather than match itself....when india plays ozie media screams that the past is history and has nothing to do with present...but when india is playing pak the same media is counting on success of past including t20...
i think the world cup had already its best in form of ind vs oz or nz vs safrica...
both semis and finals are going to be one sided affair...with india winning....much to the dismay of our media...media wanting india to lose so they can cook up more stories than what they would have if india win...

i disagree...media is just behind cricket and not with any particular team or game...they just want their readership increased and that's what the main measure for their promotions...they live on adds and commercials, not on the articles they sit n cook

game changer - due factor
by check on Mar 29, 2011 02:25 AM  | Hide replies

but this is of prime importance to know when and how much due is likely to fall. Batting second or bowling second, either ways,

the due could be a major game changer. due makes the ball soft and slippery, and very tough for an average bowler to seam, swing

or spin. Only highly-skilled fast bowlers (or spinner like warnie, murali or kumble) can then make it cut, skid or bounce. Most

of you may not know this, but Pakistan chased down India's huge 321 in 2007 in Mohali due to the due factor after trailing badly

halfway through the innings. This is because due started falling halfway through the innings and none of the Indian bowlers who

up till that point had bowled superbly could grip the ball anymore and Afridi and company went on a rampage against hapless

bowling thereafter. Knowing this and planning for this is simply part of damn good preparation ahead of a really important

contest. I hope Indian team is doing their homework correctly
