I used Einstein's time machine to go a week ahead into future and read some global newspaper headlines:

"Afridi sacked as captain following WC exit"

"Misbah unable to handle pressure against India"

"Pakistan burns effigies of its players following predicable loss"

"Pakistan maintain its impeccable record of losing all WC matches against India"

"Afridi ensures Pakistan retain their losing streak against India in World Cup"

if you were really a pakistani, you would have said "zindabad". So stop faking.

I know this cuz I know Urdu.

unity my a**, look at the way he stands after taking a wicket taking credit for everything even though it is a team effort, he quarreled with Shoaib Akhtar once. total misfit for a captain's position

Afridi deserves the WC

but we dont want him to succeed. Among the 4 semifinalists (Dhoni, Sanga, Vettori and Afridi) only Dhoni is the fulltime loose-character greedy person, the others have played their hearts out for their teams. Dhoni did his best for selling Reebook shoes, potato chips, ceiling fans , pepsi-cola and other silly products from rich companies. He is more into management than technical game-planning and batting. It is his fortune that the batsmen headed by the great Sachin are doing really well, otherwise we saw it all in a recent series what the batting was doing when it was led by people like him Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina. To be honest I wouldn't be totally disappointed if India loses because I dont like Dhoni at all. Yes - he has managed the team well, but a totally non-performing captain deserves a world cup? No.
But I still dont want Afridi to succeed over Dhoni, there is something wrong with us as human beings.

come on be dont be kiddish..you dont like dhoni means he shouldn't win the cup? a boy from a middle class family from C class city of India become the captain of high glamour sports in india defnitly becoz of his calibure. He proved himself even without having average batting skills..and he is reaping the benefit..even you are in his position would grab the oportunity with two hands..he has the brand value so he is selling it..The same players was in the teams of Azar, Ganguly ,he achieved more that what they have achived becoz of his fortune, luck and so called management skills..infact he is luckey for India..He may not be batting well dese days.but may of us not noticing that he is arguably the best wicket keeper Batsman india ever produced also the way he stumping and pick up the throws for the runout is adorable..dont be jelousy ..be proud of him..

dhoni's perfomance in the 7 matches played till date in this world cup is awesome? so the captain needs to slog himself now? otherwise again it will all come to sachin and sehwag as usual?

Can you not wait till India wins this world cup to post such lofty comparisons. We Indians are already gloating as if the Cup is here - packed and sealed.

Very apt comment! Everyone is talking as if there is no reason to play as the results are known!
