Malnutrition...
by Vortex on Mar 26, 2011 11:32 AM

BCCI should spend few money to nurish Munaf Patel.
He should be given paid rest for 6 month's...

He is such an idioy who can't laugh properly.

I haven't seen any medium pacer who can't throw ball directly to wicket from boundry rope except Munaf...

India will win
by Jay on Mar 26, 2011 11:26 AM

Now that South Africa (clearly superior to India in bowling and fielding ever since they came back to cricket) is out of the cup, India can easily manage the others. Apart from Zaheer and Ashwin, the other 30 overs still will be very crucial. Yuvraj and Munaf can do their job, Harbhajan should tighten up more. Munaf is clearly a better support bowler to Zaheer than others.

Manjrekar is never right. He has the worst assessments. Remember his comments about Sachin that there is an elephant in the room....

He is a pariah after those comments in cricketing world. Time is a healer and people have forgotten and so he is slowly back through the backdoor.

munaf patel is ok
by Vijay P on Mar 26, 2011 09:08 AM  | Hide replies

munaf should be given continue opportunities...

no team changes further...

munaf is less risky, consistent and defensive compare to others...

his economy rate is very good when we have t20 and batsman go after all bowler...

let me tell you he has not been truly succesful what he is used to be and his lethal energy and what he can offer... i feel bit wrong has happen somewhere while coaching make him more accuracy with less speed which he should not reduce much... probably i feel because of greg chappel' coaching...

as a bowler i know, his bowling action is fantastic like glen mcgrath... no cmparison though but bit of classic glen mcgrath speaks a lot...

it also depends upon pitches which and one could figure out he can be much better on aus/SA pitches...

if you know that last over what he bowls agianst SA series and trap two batsman on short point was truly awesome and says more about him...

if you look at he has not been failure in
these wc...

he also well fits into the dhoni bowling line up changes... but he has to be told and instill he is main fast bowler by our very captain dhoni too...

one should also know the kind of pressure playing for india and especially wc...

good luck team india...

vijay

unfortunately we dun hv oraveen kumar in this wc,,MP is useless,,u need wicket taking bowler in world cups..this is npr tr nation series or soemthing,,initial rounds are ok,,but when its all about knockouts,,u got to gave some lethal bowlers who put pressures at one end,,bowling at speeds of 118 kph 120 125,,this bowler is lucky enough to be in squad...

kumble said nothing to bring home or add value, just observations
by E darwin on Mar 26, 2011 07:58 AM

just diplomatic musing this time.
Atleast, the last time when Kumble wrote, he wrote about keeping yusuf in the team and the coach rested yusuf instead.
Kumble should rise over and above to say, India need captain rotation after success of player rotation.

Dont worry Gavaskar... none of the players from this team are antinational, antiteam, antispirit, self centred vice capatains like you... GSRAMCHAND completely exposed your bad intentions your role in the first wc.

Yesterday Munaf Patel bowled much better than Shaun Tait..he had a much better economy rate..we are unnecessarily after his scalp :

MM Patel 7-0-44-0-Run Rate 6.28, No No Ball,No Wide
SW Tait 7-0-52-1 Run Rate 7.42 plus 2 no balls,6 wide

I am sure Shreeshant run rate won’t be less than 7.5..what say man ?

Zaheer and Ashwin are getting wickets..Harbhajan has also picked 6 wickets with an economy rate of 4.4..

Our bowling is alright, only our thinking has no confidence, everything is fine,chill..

Don't worry!

Good balling or bad, India is winning the WC (World Cup not Water closet which it's been in so far) this time for sure!

If you want India to win it the next time, be sure to buy at least two pieces of every product advertised during the final.

If you and all the other countless m o r o n i c Indian fans do that, it will send a clear message to the corporates who have "bought" the WC for India this time that they need to do it again next time!!

yeah, any international sporting event brings activities and robustness into the economy as it creates employment opportunities..be it world cup,be it olympics..

I am least bothered about what the corporates gain or lose, their bosses have their business strategies..yes,I am happy,it creates job..which is helpful for the unemployed people...
