Allow Sachin to Make Runs
by Rahul maya on Mar 22, 2011 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

The Best and easy way for Australians to win the quarter Finals with India is to allow Sanchin Tendulkar to score runs, for when he scores, India loses the match.

Rahul Maya:

And the best way for India to win is to ensure a) Sehwag is dropped

b) all batsmen score less than 23 runs

c) our bowlers take ZERO wickets and give away 300 plus runs...

Coz according to you the above is the winning formula... eh? :)

interesting theory but true....whenever Sachin has scored century against test playing nation in WC, India has lost the match

I also noticed that when Sehwag sat out, we won the match.... Has happened 100% of the time whenever that happened in this world cup... Check it out!! :)

;-)... well said... and what was great in Windies match was that we won despite our bowlers repeating the usual pathetic show and giving away 16 runs in the last over and allowing Windies to score 338... ;-)

Problems in Aus Team
by tuleswar nath on Mar 22, 2011 09:39 AM

Ponting, Haddin, DHussey and White look out of form.
MHussey is back from an injury and has not spent much time in the middle.
Tait and Johnson are wayward.
Smith is just a bits and pieces player.
Only Lee and Watson are playing to their potential.

Sunny

We as citizens should avoid watching IPL.
IPL will cause the degradation of Indian cricket. Let me rephrase " IPL is already degrading Indian cricket player quality"

you are right my friend. and the way pakistan is playing i can sense here that they might come in final and can win the WC also (which i dont want) -- i think its probably SA's world cup ( i know that they are chokers) but. still and NZ also has chances if they click (batting line up is dangerous from them)

Ravi Shankar

The minnows beat their traditional rivals 6-1 before the world cup. And we all know how the traditional rival ( england) did against us.

My question to you in the light of such factors is, " what would you term india, if aus are minnows ?"

sameer, india under dhoni have defeated australia under ponting many times. under dhoni we have won each and every test also played against australia.

my question to you in the light of this is ''what would you term india and dhoni if aus and ponting are so good according to you?''

Sunil Vaidya:

a) Sameer misread the original message from Ravi Shankar - which in no way termed Australia as minnows. All he said was that Australia and England made it becoz they played against Minnows.

b) naturally YOU are not expected to know any of this given you are the most observant and the most logical person out here

c) and you'll be the last one to admit that Ravi Shankar's logic applies to India as well..

So naturally no point discussing the "already proven" debate in your mind... :)

Simon Taufel all set to officiate in the Finals
by Manu Zach on Mar 21, 2011 07:31 PM

Simon Taufel-the best umpire in the world has never been able to officiate in a world cup final yet in his illustrious career, just because he is Australian.
I believe he is going to get his chance in this edition of the WC finals.
