Yuvraj in form?
by a g on Mar 22, 2011 01:03 AM  | Hide replies

Is Yuvraj really in form? Don't say his performances against minnows (include windies) means anything of form? He has been getting all those runs with ireland, bangladesh and windies. What about his performance with SA and England which came a cropper!!! Dunno why India and it's media indulge in such glorification of somebody just bcos they appear to be amidst happenings. Isn't the opposition team against which you play matter? Yuvraj was also responsible for Virat's run out against SA which led to our defeat. Also, he had absolutely no credentials except that he was Dhoni's buddy to be in the WC team. Do you really think Yuvraj is in form???

by Shahzib Gul on Mar 22, 2011 12:50 AM  | Hide replies

All Indian batsmen in form whereas not a single Aussie batsman seems to have been firing since the world cup began. India vs Australia will be no match with India winning it at ease. Indian team can only lose this game if they get scared by Australia name rather than current Australian side limited resources .

From Lahore,
Pakistan

Eat your words : Dont Blame Sachin
by prabhanjan on Mar 22, 2011 12:44 AM  | Hide replies

Fools who talk about sachin should know this fact:
Sachin Tendulkar has scored 48 century in one day matches and India has 33 wins, 1 tie, 13 defeats and 1 no result. In test matches, Tendulkar has 51 test centuries (in either innings) and 20 times India recorded victory while 20 other times match ended up as draw, leaving us with 11 defeats.

Sachin cared to play for the country, he wouldn't have walked out despite umpire signalling 'not out'.
He played for the team India, and if he wasn't out, why he relinquished opportunity to serve his team/ nation?

At times a player is given out by Umpire even if he isn't.at times, a player is given 'not out' even if he is.A player has to follow umpire's decision and not to become umpire himself. Its not about honesty, rather about following the rules of the gane.

There is something called UDRS. if sachin had not walked this would have been referred and he would have given out any way. so he did the right thing.

:) Why did Yuvi relinquish the opportunity? Or why did Dhoni relinquish the opportunity?

Why did the 7 "batsmen" who collectively manage 50 runs relinquish the opportunity?

Coz they all got out... :)

Nowadays cricket has changed a lot.
I remember the India West Indies Test match at the Brabourne stadium in 1966 Sobers team beat Pataudi's team by 6 wickets. I remember watching the last day's play when Clive lloyd in his debut match took them to victory

Get Sachin Run-out asap
by Amreesh Reddy on Mar 21, 2011 11:03 PM  | Hide replies

Getting Sachin Out ASAP and not allowing him to score very score is the only hope for India this match.

This cricketer called Sachin is actually carrying bad-luck with him for India. Lucky we are that he decided himself out during WI-India match. May be sachin himself aware about it by now and so is his decision to walk out on Sunday.

Hope something on this line happens on all the remaining matches.

So guys forget everything and pray to make sure that Sachin won't score any runs on Thursday

Good point. Whilst you are praying, please also pray that our bowlers should fail miserably and take ZERO Australian wickets... :)
Becoz our bowlers had nothing to do with the win against Windies anyway - according to your brilliant "logic"... Right? :)

This is not an ordinary team like Bangladesh or West indies wher if Sachin doesnt core any other indian batsman can score. its Australia and if Sachin wont score we wont be able to cross even 150 runs.
