Dhoni
by Dilip Mahanty on Mar 22, 2011 07:26 AM  | Hide replies

Why are some readers go so low and personal in their criticism of Dhoni? Why are Dhoni and his family being termed "dhobis"? Would the same people saying these things accept it if others called them similar names?
Dhoni is a stubborn captain and has no flexibility in his thinking or strategy. Yes, he has his favourites and treats some others in the team badly!
But do these justify filthy name calling by armchair critics who have nothing worthwhile in their lives to recommend them? There seems to be a sense of jealousy in their utterances as they themselves have achieved so little! They think by pulling down an oak tree to their level they would be able climb on it and thus elevate themselves! The Sachin baiters also fall in this category.Their own worthless, insignificant, unfulfilling lives makes them transfer their ire on icons who have achieved fame and success.
If cricketers are to be criticised then these should be constructive -not personal!

Not Exactly!!!

If you're given the role to lead India, and you failed, then it's obvious that people will react. It's not because of they have achieved less, rather it's because of we love India very much and we can't tolerate India's loss in any cost.

I feel, It's not at all personal if you will consider the fact that when you do mistake it's your parents/guardian who is being blamed not you. Same way people comments on Dhoni, not Munaf Patel who is a worst bowler yet in this WC.

as far as i am concerned he is a fighting captain and managed the limited resources to the maximum, handled the seniors well, kept confidence on younger players, still keeps cool.

SHEER BRILLIANCE
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Mar 22, 2011 05:26 AM  | Hide replies

Sending Kohli one down is hseer brilliance of the captain.Poor guy does not remember what is batting like. We see him so much in ads and sick of it any way thank god we do not have to see him batting also.Poor guy tried to throw Ashwin to winds by asking him to operate opening bowling .time for Dhhoni to join Ranchi politics.

sensible comment unlike other mad bombay beggars who are bent upon criticising the good captaincy of dhoni. he is the best captain after ganguly and the third best after independence.

Losing wickets is a concern. But there is a gradual improvement (from seven for 29 to seven for 50) haha LOL what a responsible statement....wow yes now i am sure why we need to look at alternatives of dhoni
