It is better we LOSE with WI....and just play it as practice match. if we WIN today with WI then INDIA will have to play Australia in QF which is bad for us...while Pakistan will play WI a Weak team considering pakistans good bowling which is GOOD for our ENIMEY While if we LOSE we will play Srilanka in QF while Pakistan will Play England. ENGLAND is always tough opponent to Pakistan compared to WI while Srilanka is better option for us in Quarter Finals than Australia.

I agree. The only problem is a loss will attract to much criticism. But I dont care - it will be great if QF against Aus can be avoided and we take our chances against a well-balanced SriLankan side.
or under perform to avoid Aussies. there is talk that india might try some experiments. losing can be bad for moral of team before QF. its ok if viru is not playing bcoz he needs rest till QF

No - in semi it would be India vs SriLanka if India wins given your QF lineup. Logically the path is laid for the 2 group toppers to reach the final.
India will easily beat Australia if it turns out to be India-Australia QF. But if team India makes mistake to lose to West Indies intentionally to avoid Australia in QF , they will lose to Sri Lanka because current Sri Lanka team is balance side with variety in its bowling department whereas Australia lacks this. Australia does not have the same spark.

Hi Shahzib; good thinking
Under current situation, no team is ready to lose keeping the run rate and the points on board. As for today's win, Pak really needs the "kya baath-kya baath-kya baath" - they have proved today that Australia also can be tasted with a defeat and they are also a normal team like any other - it's just the wave of hype and boom that is carried with them - India will definitely win against the aussies, if we face them in QF or Finals...

Congrats to Pakistan for win against mighty Australia. It was a long time since Australia tasted defeat in a WC.
