I remember shoib for his bowling in 1999 world cup.Wasim used him as imran used wasim in the 1992 world cup as a true strike bowler.
He is a match winner and his problem is over aggresiveness which resulted in a bad boy image.
If he has played under a good captain(WHICH THE PAKISTANIS HAD NEVER HAD BARRING IMRAN AND WASIM) and had concentrated on his fitness then he would have become one of the best fast bowlers of the world.
What ever may be abt his controversies.. He bowls like a rocket ! I remember many great spells by him incuding the one in which he bowled sachin n dravid !!
I loved the way Shewag hit him for a Six with his Uppar Cut.. That could have been only possible with a red hot bowler like Shoaib and red hot batsman like Shewag.
The way Shoaib got thru the defences of Dravid and Sachin is simply amazing, you will get to see very few bowlers do that to the Wall Dravid.
when sachin hit him over third man and conversely when shoaib bowled the best duo Dravid " the wall " and Sachin in two consecutive deliveries to make only " golden duck " of schin......
