Lest we forget
by Yakoub Khan on Mar 18, 2011 02:17 AM  | Hide replies

Pardon me for this distraction, dear friends, but lest we forget, Somdev Devvarman deserves a round of applause for his victory over Baghdatis and more importantly, for his grit in the match against Nadal, where our hero lost, but "he fought like a man".

Cheers for Somdev.

Our Bowling Woes
by Yakoub Khan on Mar 18, 2011 02:05 AM

Our bowling cannot afford to be so toothless. It is perhaps, the least venomous of the title contenders.

A case in point is SA, who, have claimed 10 wickets in each of their matches, and that includes 10 of our vaunted batsmen.

Hope we wake up on time and address the issue.

007
by Yakoub Khan on Mar 18, 2011 02:00 AM

England's campaign is fast becoming a story similar to a typical James Bond flick.

Swann, rather than Strauss, has the looks to be compared with 007.

Licence to thrill
by Yakoub Khan on Mar 18, 2011 01:48 AM

Love them or hate them, England have the "licence to thrill".

They are the best ads for the 50 over game. They, in a way, remind us of Pak in 1992.

Mark my words: England will win WC! They have defied all odds so far and have played their best cricket against the strong teams. They are destined and determined to win this time.

I quite agree with you. In my other posting, I have marked on how thrilling the English have become.
Only Oz need to get out, the WC will get better.

Raniji,

I think its time for you to goto your Mantri and shut the eff upp!!!

India will win the WC in style. England is surviving purely on luck.

Bangla is already out and IND/SA/ENG/WI in QF. Pathetic, hapless, 58 AO BD players are scared to death of SA bowlers.

Nonsense. It was West Indies who gave them victory on a golden plate like how India other day gifted to South Afrikans. English bowling was mediocre but West Indies does not desrve a place in QF

Agree with Nimish. Small team will give an easy chance for Group A toppers to move on.

Bangla should be happy enough to what they done so far.

West Indies had to score 300 and dismiss by 117 or restrict 150 runs and score them by 20.5 overs.
First of all, Chennai pitch will not be easy for any team to score runs and chasing under lights will be another problem
