sachin should learn from pak palyers, how to play
by dhruv kumar on Mar 15, 2011 06:43 PM  | Hide replies

for country, not for records. let him hit 100 while chasing...in this WC, he hit 2 100s, and we did not win either of them.

Every Run is counted (forget about centuries) because you never know, in these types of tournament, when does the Net Run Rate becomes critical to qualify for the further round.

Centuries increases teams morale also for other round of matches.

Yes, we could learn from Pakis how to fix matches!

Even a child will know it's joke, if you say Pakis are playing for their country.

Be mature man. Its a teams game. He was aggressive and at his best against South Africa in the last match. U dont expect the other batsmen to throw their wicket for mere 29 runs. That was horrible. In the match against England, our bowlers were horrible. Dont blame Sachin for his consistency. Somebody who appreciates cricket would always cherish his contribution like Wasim Akram did.

Ask Pakis, what do they think about Sachin. They are having only nightmares about him.

Remember that Six over thirdman off Shoaib Akhtar.

Arm-chair cricketers like you will lose both balls, if you faced the balls from Steyn & Morkel!

u expect him to bowl and take 10 wickets. when he gave 338 total what our bowlers did. In SA match, what other batsmen did after he got out.

Pak players are not playing. Only receiving bribes to fix the game! Sachin has NEVER done that! He is not dying for money!

WILL pak win this WC in INDIAN SOIL - YES, WHY?
by k p on Mar 15, 2011 06:41 PM

INDIA WILL MAKE IT TO QUARTER AND SEMI because this is what the Bookie
king and TV Commercials want. If India makes an early exit from WC,
there may not be many TV auudience around the world to watch this event!
This will hit the Commercials which is running to more than 1000 Cr at
this point!

For the Bookies, a huge amount hundreds of crores, is still pouring in.
NOw, the trend has been changed! The people who have been betting for
India is slowly betting for Pakistan and South Africa! At the beginning
of the event, not many betted for Pakistan, everybody was betting for
India! So, if India wins it will be a huge loss to the Betting Industry!
If Pak wins, situation will be in favor of the Bookie! So the chances
are the FINAL will be played BETWEEN PAK AND INDIA and PAK WINS LIFT
THE WC IN INDIAN SOIL!

It is all fixed! It is a Hindi Movie! Everybody knows at the end what
is going to happen!

Without help from Indian players, especially Captain Dhoni, and the BCCI,
this manipulation and fixture of results WILL NOT HAPPEN!

In another sense, Dhoni is playing for D-Gang Betting Manager and for the
victory of Pak! Dhoni is stabbing India from behind bribing to play
against India! If you do not like this comment, WATCH AND GET CONVINCED
- HIS GAME PLAN AND DECISIONS HE TAKES IN THE SELECTION OF PLAYERS BALL
BY BALL!!

not for India but for the greatest Indian to have lived - Sachin Tendulkar.

P.S: In the 1992, Hero Cup semi-final in Eden Gardens Kolkata (India Vs. SA), SA needed 6 runs to win off the last over. Tendulkar snatched the ball from Azhar and bowled a magnificent over to win that match for us. (He gave away only 3 runs). Maybe our team needs to watch that over to know what guts and glory are all about.]

Sachin, I hope we win the final in Wankhede. If we don't a billion people can only hang their heads in shame and ask for your forgiveness.   Regards, One of your undying fans who: 1. Still goes crazy when you hit that straight drive and show us the manufacturer's name on the bat. 2. Stayed awake late into the night before my end terms to watch that 100 in Sharjah in the midst of that sandstorm. 3. Relished every shot that you played to decimate Warne in 1998 and then Shoaib Akhtar in that 2003 World Cup against Pakistan. 4. Will stop watching cricket after you retire.

@saikat,
Very nice article and moreover what you wrote is 1000% correct. It really hurt to say people blame Master for India’s defeat.
There are many Indians who will say goodbye to cricket once Sachin is retired. So in that case you are not alone in the race.
Once again a very nice article.

Its just Sachins greatness, that all people expect to win matches by himself.Nobody considers other 10 players.
So not to get angry on Sachins critics.

A certain cricketer commented, very squarely,
without qualifying his remarks with ifs and buts, that Pakistan will win the World Cup. Pakistan, under Imran Khan won the World Cup. Nothing remarkable. Except that cricketer was Sunil Manohar Gavaskar. A man who was, and is still admired by Pakistanis as a most worthy adversary. The Pakistanis rejoiced in their victory. But what added to their joy was the
unequivocal prediction of Sunil Gavaskar. Such was the impact, that the then Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, extended a formal Tea invitation to Sunil Gavaskar.
Of course, as many Sachin's knowledgeable critics will say, the Pakistanis are stupid foo ls, who don't know much about cricket. And of course they are absolutely right! LOL

Dhoni's politics
by Neetiman Kumar on Mar 15, 2011 06:14 PM  | Hide replies

The cool, competitive and innovative Dhoni is the ‘Past’. He is now playing cheap politics, even during this important period and only he can say why he does it.
Ashwin is Chairman Srikant’s candidate, hence Dhoni is deliberately keeping him out and try to promote his ‘chocolate’ wonder Chawla.
What he did to Sreesant is even worse. In South Africa, an aggressive Sreesant rattled Kallis with a bouncer and got his wicket. He unsettled Smith with a verbal warfare and got his wicket. But the Captain goes public against his own bowler in the press briefing.
In the first match, he did not tell Sreesant he will be playing it till the start of the play. Then, totally unexpected, he was given the new ball. Excited as he was, Sreesant could not control the ball and leaked runs in the four overs he bowled. End of the story. Now nobody can point fingers at Dhoni for neglecting this bowler, who otherwise would have been a handful against the South Africans. He would have taken wickets, at least to contain his suppressed fury. But Dhoni exactly doesn’t want that.
He has the nerve to criticize his batters, after badly shuffling the order, while he could not make the bowlers understand to stay at the wicket and did not have guts to face as many balls of Steyn & Co as possible, to save the match.
Now let us see what he will come up with.
