india reached 2003 finals coz of Tendulkar, dravid and yuvraj...ganguly managed centuries angainst kenya and namibia...lol
I noticed one thing abt Ganguly's commentry, He seems to be unhappy when indian batsmen hit 6's and 4's. He talks lot of negatives when indians are batting, especially when SACHIN is batting, Eg: SACHIN Hit a beautifull Cover drive against South africa, but for that shot ganguly's commentry was "ohhh, it was in the AIR", then said "in the Gap as well", For the same shot TONY wud have said "Ohh, what a cracking shot, magnificent cover drive, placed it in the gap very well, Sachin tendulkar, what a mann...!!! " i love TONY GREG's commentry,
i like ravi shastri, manjrekar doing commentry also, even though they speak little more for indian team, but they talk positives of both the TEAMS, Ganguly is showing his IPL frustrations in the commentry...

all media persons are saying, among ex-players,only ganguly is making constructive criticism. hope these media persons know little better than you. stop thinking only about sachin--the cricket is a game with 11 players per side.

Its Commentary and not commentry...however I didn't find any bias in Ganguly's commentary or commentry whatever..Its in how one looks at the moon!

some blind/deaf people back in england made those inconsistent spelling rules and defined inconsistent grammar rules for English language, and here we follow all of them so blindly and have arguments on them, Please don't read in between words, read them as sentences, meaning is more important than spellings. here i was just conveying the meaning, no other language we have it now common between us to share these opinions, forced to become blind here.

Btattacharyya and Mukherji, I know where you hurts. I am big fan of Ganguly, but his commentary is really bad. Have u heard commentary during India visit OZ or SA, in both the innings they blew the pipudi of their own team,if they were batting they talk about batsman and if they are fielding they talks about bowler or fielder. So, nothing wrong if Sunny and Ravi favours India but our Sir Ganguly has come in the box with agenda that he will only talk good about opposite team.Well, u will be kick out from commentory too.

Guys be honest...the problem is not that Bengalis support Ganguly...he is a great player...the problem is that people refuse to recognize one of the greatest cricketers and captains india ever produced because of regional issues...

he was a crappy batsman everyone know that.. but he was a good aggressive captain unlike brainless "stylish" dhoni. dhoni cannot bat... he is worse than me i think..

he feared PACE attack, everybody knows... about his runs, 70% have come against weak bowling attack like bangaldesh, zimbabwe. i have never seen him playing against Australia,South Africa.

your knowledge about ganguly's extra-ordinary performance is limited. so your comments are as expected. it will not affect his greatness

dude u mumbaikars are the bane of indian cricket. we know how u hated ganguly just because he built a team on his belief of merit...didnt hv mumbai captains selecting suru naik ahead of amarnath....one small statistics for all of u to savour - 1983 world champions, contribution from mumbai tends to zero..the only other world cup success was 2003 runners up...and that was ganguly's "indian" team..nt a harri sshield 11
Re: Re: Re: Re: Ganguly the agressor
by Brian on Mar 15, 2011 12:11 AM
calling mumbai the bane of Indian cricket itself shows cricket knowledge of calcuttans......in 1983 there were players like sandeep patil and sandhu who did decently...well there are stories of how a north east selector from calcutta shouting 'Goal' when a batsman was bowled and it was this north east quota that actually got ganguly in indian team...muzumdar and s sharath of TN had better averages than ganguly...also to say that 2003 achievement was due to ganguly is to insult sachin, dravid and yuvraj...all ganguly managed then was centuries against non-test playing nations...namibia and kenya...dude just bcoz he is bong and you dont have any other icon doesnt mean you support his shortcomings...

There is a notion that Dalmia had hands in getting selected in 96, Ganguly couldn't have made by his own. What a stupid logic. From 1996 - 2004, Ganguly scored more runs than anyone else in ODI cricket, even more than Sachin, Lara, Kalis, Ponting or Inzamam. It's India's misfortune that Ganguly was not selected in between 1992-96, during which period India's performance was really mediocre

by aprakash gupta on Mar 15, 2011 09:33 PM
Your name itself suggests you like to lick white a**es....you can believe whatever sh*t hayden and flintoff says, but you can't believe the ability of the 2nd best ODI batsman India has ever produced...shame on you...
Although as a commentrator, they have to be impartial towards home team, most of the commentrator are baised towards their home team, only Mr. Ganguly, speacks like he want to see India losing. Why so? I agree what happened in IPL is not fair to him, but this is Worldcup man, not an stupid IPL. You have to favour home team.

Because he has recognized Sachin is the most selfish player in team india. You see sachin as a cricketer he knows Sachin as a human there should be difference.

Commentators aren't supposed 2 favour any team. U r expected 2 b an impartial observer of the game.
Where r england's best bowlers Steve Harmison, Simon Jones, sidebottom ? why they r not playing for england? england is struggling with bowling attack now, anderson is a waste in non-swinging sub continent conditions.
Sourav Ganguly is a real fighter. I knew that he will do something. He is not the guy who will give up in any case. And this is his reply to corrupt IPL and BCCI officials. Hats off to you DADA!

Yes truly , everything has become corrupt in recent times , it seems some deliberate lobby from franchisees to keep ganguly out. As he is a great leader and is not a good follower ...the franchisees want people who will nod heads and do whatever the owners say !!!
