It is a hopeless case.No point blaming only Sharad Pawar. It is the country's VIP culture or the 'Patronage' culture to blame so much so that ordinary cricket fans cannot expect any better even from their idols like Anil Kumble or Srinath. We have seen in Bangaluru how the two have coolly joined the elite and brandwagon of Sharad Pawar and company.Unless the basic mindset of making available a minimum of 50% of tickets to ordinary people is developed, there is no hope for ordinary cricket/sports fans.Only the tribe of 'snobs'culture of likes of Anil Kumble and Srinath would grow.
Anil Kumble was unfairly targeted for Banglore fiasco. Cricket administrators have no power. When a Mayor demands tickets they have to comply. Kumble was not at fault.
Shows that the BCCI and all the Cricket associations in the country are there only to cater to the FREE ticket seekers from the Clubs/Companies/Sponsors. The general public is totally ignored. They are forgetting that because of these general public, the sport is becoming very HIGH PROFILE.
Why only small amount of tickets are sold to open public; If the games are to be publically played then the comman man has the rights to watch the game. Government should interfere and reserve atleast 35% of tickets for public
This will happen ....no surprise.... Bigest surprise is, for VIP, Politician there 43000 ticket and for 125 cr peoples only 7000. This is a insult of 125 cr indian peoples but still not addressed by media..... All cricket associations and associated peoples like politician are earning mony by selling these tickets to business class and rich peoples........ there are lots of curruption behind this because its imposible to sell 43000 tickets to VIPs...
