The World Cup Grouping is not competitive. If you win only two matches ( which the big team will win anyhow against the minnows, you reach to quarter final. There is no thrills in the cup ...!
Big teams are tensionless. They are playing unnecessarily so many matches in the group stages.
This is plan of ICC to fabour teams like India, Australia so that they can earn more money.. !

This is mainly coz of india & pak loss in group stages & the 2007 WC was a miserable flop,so the ICC wants both the teams to atleast reach the QF

Somehow ur right mr. Harsha, I think that WC should be event of Max. 10 team on the round robin basis to play wd each other. 4 top team out of them cn go to Semis. I think WC of 1992 is the best world cup we hav till date, & after dat it is just a pleasing act to associates members & downgrade d value of WC. 1992 was Best.

true 1992 format.. everone plays each other was best. only thing is we should not lose match against minnows due to rain.
